  1. I can only assume the resync is only for the double sunroof (it has two motors and won't even try open before you sync it after you disconnect the battery) Press the button in I guess... couldn't hurt? if you google (E39 Sunroof Resync) it has suggestions...
  2. That's not the electric antennae? they usually have a drain..

Actually sounds like an AFM problem, that's what my mates E46 was doing.... Get it scanned don't go and blow $230 on a brand new AFM without scanning first.
  4. Try resync it? Press the button upwards for 30 seconds or so? Not sure if that works on later cars.... Or ones that aren't twin sunroof..m
  5. shifting a mate was trailering hard.
  6. Just get the Low temp one, they are $40. from Milland. the stock one is 90/99c or something like that, low temp one is 80/88. I've got an E36 318ti fan and low temp switch on my E34, and the AC fan is still seperate. just had to snip the wire going to the low speed relay and send it to another relay for the main fan (single speed only, had a dead resistor)
  7. I have a Windows 7 32Bit VM on my macbook pro for using carsoft scanners... works okay. needs an SSD... and Macs need like 8GB of ram to be any good also. because Mac OS is a hungry sack of turds. Not that anyone should really have less than 8GB of ram anyway if you have DDR3. it's not like it's expensive. +10000 for an SSD. got one in my desktop kicks ass.
  8. When I was 16 a friends dad had one on loan from his rich friend for the school ball... an SRT8 one... f**king fast.... I would buy a 300(new model) Diesel over a falcodore but I don't think I'd own one ever.
  9. haha, poor bastards.... Being single has it's advantages.. I'm trying to do that same thing with another Alpine White E34 Sedan, but I'm cheap so anything i've looked at locally has had "an oil change" as "servicing" with over 200,000 on the clock.
  10. I just run 230kpa front and 260kpa rear 245/40/18.
  11. lol, I thought you guys were joking about norton..... Seriously, NOD32 or MSE are the only two worth looking at. the rest can suck my d*ck.
  12. Yep, because you couldn't make the turbo fit with RHD cars.
  13. Yeah, ours has a small amount of rust, it's currently in bits just had all the oil seals done on the engine timing belt, waterpump ect things like that. it's getting the battery tray replaced, as that's the brute of the rust it's got. Unfortunately it's had moron owners that have rushed changing of stereo's and things like that broken all the clips that hold the interior together.. and dad doesn't seem to be interested in importing parts like I am.
  14. This, though I do like White 5s.... Them painted mouldings....
  15. At least it's not too bad of a buy for a Manual 328i Coupe...
  16. Yeah I'd say so... an IS Lip can get fake ones on here for not much.
  17. Yeah and no Check Control wiring... I wonder if you could connect a manual box upto the electric motor for some extra control.
  18. Have the wheels and lug bolts from my dad's 320i. Wanting $350 for the Shitey wheels and Let's say $50 for the bolts & tool? Wheels are Lenso, I guess 17x7" ET 42, so wrong for an E30 BMW, and really shouldn't have been on there in the first place. Would suit a small fwd run about. Tyres are GT Radial Champiro HRX 205/40ZR17 84W XL with about 4mm tread all around (got a WOF sheet somewhere, which they passed, we just think they look gay) Pics Also - I still have some 16x7,5" Throwing star reps in good condition, with a 72.6mm CB (for e36) $100 Shitty E34 Bottle caps with probably one and a half good tyres $50)
  19. my e34 would flick up that high due to the fan clutch being roasted. doesn't move 1mm from the middle, unless it's like 34c outside thanks to electrical fan.
  20. Hmm, I'd do an electric E30... just not a rough as guts one.. I wonder if there's enough room to electrify a vert? although you'd probably want something absolutely basic, manual windows and manual sunroof... you can always install an electric heater system. Would be kinda cool if someone tech2 kitted an electric E30 with dished wheels hahaha.
  21. Lame, I won't be owning a new car anytime soon, nor will this provide any extra incentive to purchase one.
  22. Yeah unfortunately the Generic E30 bits are so easy to come by, and none of them are particularly wear parts... I can't say my sun visor has broken lately.
  23. if he has a 520i it uses a different OBC to the rest of the E34's Since the BCIV is a dumb terminal that gets it's information from the Cluster, as the 520i has a different cluster to the 525i+ models it's a bit different. http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Upgrade/OBC.htm
