Just vanos is easy. Rebuilding the vanos unit is the easy part anyway, it's getting everything else right is the hard part! Just finished, as in 10mins ago, redoing the timing in mine as it was out from doing a full vanos rebuild myself, helps if the timing dowel isn't bent!

Should if brought a 8v vectra! Water pump seized, shredded cambelt. Luckily was a non interference head so new pump, belt and tensioner she was good as new again!

So thought I'd better check timing again after been running before I sent daves tools back. Good thing I did as it was out, ughhh! Then I remembered dave saying the lock pin was bent. That would be way it's out!! So have just redone it and should be right this time! Will find out once rotated and all sprocket bolts are tight. It did feel as if it wasn't pulling as well down low as it should..

Pretty sure that'll be more economical than my current daily haha

Yea got number one, easier to make out in picture than on paper, play in steering rack r/h side but no 2 can't be about tyres, they were brand new last year and be lucky to have 3000kms on them!
