  1. haha you just want to get rid of yours! I was looking at buying one and was going to put a stroked m20 with tripple carbs or motorbike carbs so one per cylender to keep that old school sound. but then I got a M3 instead haha
  2. Yea Im thinking I like it better on the 32s as well tbh. Since Ive got them off might as well price them up for a refurb, paints gone all yellowey on them. I was abit sus about the bonnet too before I put it on but now that I have Im lovin' it. Had it sitting on a slight angle in the back yard when I was applying the rusting soultion so has given it that ty-dyed look about it. only think that lets it down is my poor spraying skills as you can see the clearcoat has afew runs but im hoping with a light sand itll come up alright
  3. Id be keen on a couple, can be the Dunedin representitive haha. Thinking of that, M3 needs B.S stickers...
  4. As with most 3 series Id be looking out or budgeting for the rear bushes on the lower front arms needing replacing, the drive shaft coupler, clunking in the back over bumps will be rear shock mounts and if it takes awhile to heat up the Tstat will need replacing and upgrade to alloy housing (M50/M52) as 9/10 times youll crack the plastic one putting it back on and do the waterpump while your at it as they can shear the impeller off the shaft at old age. About $100 for pump, 80 for alloy housing and 40 odd I think for Tstat. shock mounts about $60 and bushes price depending on what you want, factory, M3 solid etc
  5. You made the right choice on cars! thats a sneaky way to do the aux cable, Im just using the old warehouse car kit in the touring atm but may have to change to that or if I put a factory unit back in the M3 will deffinanlty be doing it that way
  6. Got bored today so put the 19s from the M3 on and some pics of it with the rusted bonnet Ive been meaning to put up for ages
  7. Ive got 18x8 et20 style 32s on my touring and fit fine with abit of roll on the back. have a look here http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=42850
  8. So over the last few days Ive replaced all the shims so all valve clearances are with in tolerance, driveshaft coupler, kidney grills were abit stonechipped so repainted them, fixed p.steering leaks and replaced fluid, removed old bushes for the new powerflex to be fitted tomorrow morning. Also discovered Ive ordered the wrong hose so will need to re order unless I can find one at repco or the likes. I think thats about it
  9. I'd say the water pump would of failed at around those kms and guessing it's never been done before. The t.stat usually gets abit sticky in old age but generally wont shut properly so takes a while to heat up like my 328 I just not long did and the waterpumps have been known to shear the plastic impeller off so it doesn't spin. Would still pay to check h.g to see if it's alight.
  10. I really should of updated this ages ago to say I have a set of style 5s for it now, but I think Im becomming a bit of a wheel whore as Im still keeping an eye on whats out there haha. I still do like the look of the BBS LM's or the MMR eurotek UO3 equvilent...

  13. Sold today for 8k. Was a sad day
  14. that sounds terrible! could it be a stuck intake valve or not sealing right and its firing back through the intake or maybe the cam belts skipped afew teeth? have you put a timing light on it to see if its firing right? i can come try give ya a hand if you want
  15. My god that thing is uuuuuuuggllllyyy!
  16. Ooooo the missus wants a new car...might as well be a bimmer to go with the rest...
  17. If you can't get one, a broom handle or a vivid with abit of tape works a treat!
  18. I got a firebrand one from the warehouse about 7-8 years ago for $50 with about 40 discs and have given that a hiding over the years and still works fine! Only thing I had to do on it was replace the lead on it last week as I kept shocking myself on it where I had cut through the phase wire haha.
  19. Everyone has an M3, not many have a Z4M. They do look pretty badass and no way a hairdressers car imo. but it all depends on how practical it is for you.
  20. someone has removed a vacuum hose from here in the M3 and just taped the end of the T up. comes off that senor to the right then splits off it. Tried looking on realoem but couldnt find anything or anything obvious around the engine bay. anyone got an Idea where it should go?
  21. took the wheels off the M3 today and gave them a good clean all ready to sell to make room for the style 5s. fronts are 8.5 et38 with 225/35/19 archillies tyres and rears are 9.5 et32 with 245/35/19 dayton tyres with about 5-6mm tread left on all. They could do with abit of a tidyup, have been resprayed at some point as it looks like old paint was cracking which was just sprayed straight over but still looks fine. has the odd small scrape mark on the very edge of the lips, have photos to show the worst wheels and of two small dints on the very outter lips. looking for around $1300 ono.
  22. Got all the shims, gaskets and hose sorted with Paul at Milland and should be here next week. had this lot arrive today from Schmiedmann to add to the other assortment of bits Here the paitient in the operating theatre Got the new waterpump and thermostat fitted today, radiator and oil cooler back it place, tinted the tail lights red and that was about it today, figured I should spend some time on the deck since it was nice and im running outta days off fast.
  23. Yes apon further investigation it appears it is, stupid emissions crap.
