Make sure the wattage for the lamp is correctly rated to the ballasts, if not Thatl be the problem. Have seen a similar problem at work before in shop lighting where they havn't been correctly matched
-
Looks amazing dude! Nice work, but as others have said, needs abit of fine tuning
-
Yea your right there! I hate to think what Brent got the m3 for
-
Are ya havin a laugh? I see all the sweet deals Brent gets. We get nothing here.
-
Yea that's the one, and no matching skirts and rear. but remember his touring is a m50b25 so can use that computer and loom for the e30
-
Buy the manual 535 that's here and use the booster from that then put the rest in the touring, then put the computer and loom from that in the e30. It was ment to be I tells ya!

I had a similar problem with a gt starlet once... Was a blocked heater core and a rooted radiator. Even tho water flows through the rad doesn't mean that it's working right. I'd be taking it out and getting it tested. And check the heater isn't blocked while the rads out. Mine was and all rusty so forced coke into it and it cleaned it out nicely

Yes should be able to. I know my insurence gives me first dibs to buy my wreaked car before it goes to turners I guess.
-
Hahaha actually they both do. The m3 would have to be the tow car tho, 318 might struggle abit
-
I wouldn't know what car to take....

Seen a real tidy looking champagne colored e30 320i fl with Bbs wheels with stretched tyres parked outside the hospital 4.30 today. Surely there a member???

tried to fit two replacement alternators today, one a bosch 140a and a valeo 80a. both would of bolted up fine but the connectings and air intake were in different places so wouldnt of worked. also swapped the reg over from the 80a to my alt but made no difference. best to just buy a new one. be about the same to get it looked at and fixed proberbly. got the battery at supercheep but the missus car is needing a new battery so she can have the old one

take the lamps out and clean the terminals in the lights and on the lamps and

As per title, need the voltage regulator out of a valeo 45/115A alternator to make mine work again.
-
So got the old girl fired up tonight, checked the battery while running, 14v. Turned on lights and heaters, checked again, 12.28v. Raised revs to 2000, 12.18v. Turned everything off, 12.28v So I've come to the conclusion the voltage regulator has gone on it as it will charge untill load is put on it, meaning alternator stator/armature are still working fine. Now I just need a new regulator...

Looks like a ///M badge on the grill. You'd hope it wasn't a genuine one

Abs and airbag are just due low voltage, soon as a good battery is on it it goes away. Been lookng at afew diagrams and I'm thinking there's a dodgey connection somewhere thats dropping out the alternator to the battery, leaving the engine to run the essentials and the battery to do the accessories which inturn is draining it after half an hour of driving. Will be taking a good look tomorrow with a good battery and ith the car running.
-
I'm a sparky by trade... just not an auto one, but have a pretty good knowledge of dc supplies and circuits. Will get the battery charged and do some more investigating. Will get a scan and live data on it if I can't find anything.
