Easier to get out of the states through eBay or similar

I have got a med case e30 cover but not for sale. I can possibly measure if you need
-
As per tittle i have just acquired a E36 medium case 3.07 open diff..... i was going to transfer the internals into a e30 med case diff to get the ratio i was after but came across a low ratio e28 diff and rear cover so now have a spare diff that is of no use to me now.... $250

price on the expansion tank? does it have a cap?
-
I will keep that in mind thanks for that, have axles turning up shortly, so once its in will have a play with both spacers and not spacers and see how the axles sit
-
Pm him, is not on here often, but replies to pm's quickly
-
did you use the pedal box from the 328?
-
As above looking for a e36 manual pedal box as need the brake and clutch setup. let me know what you have..
-
hahaha that was my orginal thinking of building the front shaft out of two and having it made to fit.
-
i have used subframe spacer bushes to raise the subframe so to keep the diff and driveshaft aligned need to add the spacers to keep it all nice
-
yeah my thinking now is once i get it in and measure up the length, from realoem it seems the guibo is only from the v8s, so driveshaft may not mount up????

Spent the day in auckland yesterday pillaging parts from a e39 540. came home with a oil filter remote setup, power steering pump and lines, battery relocation kit. wanted the driveshaft but some bugger had rounded the bolts off on the diff so had to leave it :/ Stopped in and had a chat with brent at BMworld and picked up a new wiring loom and needed rocker cover. And a big shout out to the boys at SD European, stopped by for a chat and left with a nice 2.93 med case diff from a e28 and a e30 rear cover for a bargain price. Home for a clean up with a wire wheel and a quick spray to get it looking nice. A new revshift diff bush and the diff spacers and studs and already to go in when my axles turn up. Things are moving along nicely now. rear end almost all back together finally.

Really? What driveshaft did you end up finding that fitted? No one seems to have documented anything with the m60 and 420g that's a direct fit
-
Went to zebra and pilidged a 540i for conversion parts and picked up a nice 2.93 diff from sd European ?
-
Yeah I was going to get a driveshaft shop to make it either way but going single saves me having to buy two driveshafts. But I will talk to some people and see what their thoughts are
-
Just trying to work it out before having to buy two driveshafts to hack up to make one. And to remove the entire hanger bearing which can cause shuddering under heavy load
-
So as I'm going through the process of transplanting a m60 into a e30 and have to make up a driveshaft to suit a thought of instead of running a 2 piece driveshaft, getting rid of the centre hanger bearing and having a 1 piece driveshaft built. Now what would be the cons of going down this route instead of the factory way?
