  1. Another option - have a chat with Joe or Oleg at EuroSurgeon?
  2. Could get change out of NZ$2k, depending on shipping. Not necessarily 'cheap', but it is a brand new, warranted unit. Go on - compare it to a BMW NZ price. (Just for, y'know, sh!ts'n'giggles!) I think they're something north of USD2000,
  3. Or get a whole brand new one? https://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/shop/bmw-bmw-3-series-c-990_1059_1137.html
  4. E30 tax extends to anything that might fit an E30.
  5. 17x7 (possibly 17x8) et25 should fit - these are not an uncommon size in the US. Use 205 or 215/40-17 tyres. Wider tyres are likely to rub.
  6. Greg is good too. Looked after my 320d back when I was working in Hamilton.
  7. CJ in Hamilton (especially) are very good. Pro-active, won't sell you a line. Fabian in parts is one of the best.
  8. Manufacturers want new market niches. There's one!
  9. It's one of the BMW concepts that didn't get to production. Raise the bonnet line and it's a 2-door X5 soft top.
  10. Hanna was excellent. A second season is in the works, but it's hard to see how that'll improve, or eve continue, the story. Still, something to look forward to. Next up - Boardwalk Empire. An older series, but well-regarded and a visual treat for anyone who like Art Deco.
  11. Replaced the bootlid on Miss M's E46. Having managed to find one the right colour, it was a shame that the PO had taken shears to all the wiring, but never mind - fed the existing wiring through all the boot cavities. Doesn't fit perfectly, but it's pretty close. and looks a lot better than the original one
  12. Watched 4 episodes of Hanna yesterday evening. Will probably watch more tonight. Great series.
  13. It could easily be that Gavin, who runs EuroItalian, is as locked down as the rest of us and possibly not trading at present. Always worth trying to contact him, though. Ph (09) 444-9817 | email Euro-Italian Car Parts Ltd
  14. Preparing to repel boarders when things go really wrong! (As opposed to just a little bit, like now...)

    Quick rant thread.

And the presidunce is talking of relaxing stay-at-home reqs in order to boost business. Bear in mind that's in a country where uninsured ill people go bankrupt with medical bills.
  16. I'd give it a try! ? ? I drove a VW Transporter with a similar engine and 4wd for a while. Great van. The Phaeton engine and driveline probably isn't all that different to the Amarok or Toureg. Just a lot more comfortable.
