MHD can log that if you've got the cables, you do have to pay though for the logging feature. About $50 I think. That's how I found my issue, mine would almost never trigger a fault code, MHD devs pointed it out when I shared my logs online... If you need some free logging, you might be able to make do with Torque, but it won't show Target boost I think.
-
Did this issue come from your imagination or did you actually ask Autosure about this? I don't believe they would do this, it would be absurd. I have had several Autosure claims - they have lost money on me and they have never given me any trouble with claims. Use runflats if you feel comfortable with them, no need to come up with silly justifications like that. To be honest, this gives me the impression you worry about unnecessary/minor things.

I have driven several thousand km in rental Holden SV6s with the non-runflat version of the tyre and those were perfectly fine. Still not as grippy as the best, but comfortable and suited that car just fine. I think it's those stiff runflat sidewalls that make a major difference.

Damn you are having the worst luck with yours :/ Hopefully that's the last one.

My car came with those Bridgestones and I thought they were awful. Terribly harsh, prone to tram lining, made my arms tired on long drives from all the steering effort needed on bumpy roads. Grip in the wet was terrible. Wheelspin in 3rd gear on a stock 335i. On my Goodyear Eagls F1s I can only break traction in 1st in the dry and 2nd in the wet - but I have to try, it doesn't happen by accident. Maybe on a 325i or lower they would be acceptable for grip. Just not in 19-inch unless you like having your bones shaken.

Mistyped 'opinion' as 'option', but looks like you knew what I meant. I'll shoot you an email for quotes, even if I decide not to do the whole car, I reckon I'll get my new rims done before I get them mounted

Ordered a set, will go on when my new wheels arrive in a few weeks. I'll find out then

Just curious, what made you guys switch to the Mohs coating from CQuartz and Ceramic pro? And what's your option of it after having it on your car, compared to the regular store-bought coatings and waxes? It sure looks good in the photos. Does the coating make it easier to wash? Does it still get water spots after rain? I've been considering it, even though it is pricey.

Hyperdrive.co.nz, which generally has the worst prices ever, has a decent special on currently - buy 4 tyres get one free. So I've just ordered a full set of PS4 including fitting + balancing for $1347.

Anyone know what a Bridge Racing Master is?

My google search led me here: http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/466814/car/388013/1866638/parts.aspx Appears to be some kind of aftermarket interior LED kit, I'd guess the dial adjusts the brightness. -
That is a tough one. Good luck. No chance it's failing turbos/wastegates?

Looks great in red, you'll enjoy the extra power for sure.

That is halarious. Hope the car is ok Enjoy it, hopefully it fixable and then you can get back to driving it hard. My BMWs have had their issues, but when everything is working fine they are great fun!

If that's a wagon and considering the kms... price sounds about right to me. I find with 335is the sedan's are the cheapest. Most important thing is to have a BMW specialist do a pre-purchase check. 335is are awesome cars, you just have to understand they take some extra care and can have expensive issues. More so if you tune them. And honestly the Autosure warranty on these is an absolute steal. Definitely get it.

Vaguely remember seeing that old thread in the past, lol.

That paint colour does look awesome.
-
Yes, full set in those sizes @Hybrid: Thanks, I'll try them too. Edit: Their pricing was pretty similar. Although they did have a cheaper option: DUNLOP SPORT MAXX 050+ $1200 GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASY 3 $1550 MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4 $1600 Not sure how those Dunlops compared to the others, will need to research. Justin did try steer me away from RE003's, saying "I think the Re003’s will let you down compared to the F1 Assymetric 3’s".
-
Stumbled upon Tyretech on Trademe, in the North Shore. They actually gave a pretty decent quote "The Pirelli PZero at $1650, The Michelin pilot sport 4 at $1499 or The Goodyear Asymetric 3 at $1450. This price is for 2 fronts and 2 backs inclusive of fitting and balancing and gst" That's not a bad price on the PS4 I think? I think I'll go for that. Maybe a couple hundred more than importing them myself, but much more convenient. I'll just have to drive all the way there from Botany with the Apex wheels in the car, then drive back with the old wheels + tyres packed in... Will be interesting to see how those compare with my Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2s.
-
Hmm don't believe Apex would do that... I'll see, would consider used if I find something good. The RE003 should be good? Had the RE002's on my E46 328i and those seemed good, obviously that car didn't put down nearly as much power though so i don't know hopw well they will cope on a 335i. I really like the Goodyear eagle F1 AS2s I have now but thepr prices have shot up and they even seem to be over $500 each in 18 inch. tirerack.com (US) has Pzeros at $200 per tyre! If I can ship those over at a good price maybe I'll get them. Compared to Hyperdrive.co.nz selling them at over $500 each, LOL pathetic Does anyone do decent tyre prices in NZ? I once got lucky and got 19 inch Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2 for $290 each for my fronts, but now they're over $500 everywhere. Surely if someone bulk ordered and brought them on a ship they could sell them at a decent price...
-
Thanks I'm going with the staggered setup that Apex recommended me: 18" Staggered: F: 18x9" ET30 (Profile 3) - 235/40-18 R: 18x9.5" ET35 (Profile 3) - 265/35-18 So I'm hoping it looks like it does on that M3. ETA is about 6-8 weeks. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for a good deal on tyres to fit them.

Or just get a Z4. You have one practical vehicle, make the other a fun one.
-
Bad new for you Qube If you're still interested, email the Speedfactor guys, they seem pretty good to deal with. Just tell them I referred you and you're the guy that wanted the 19s. If you're really keen for that colour maybe just order silver and get someone in NZ to re-finish them. Will probably be expensive though. I'm going ahead with my order... Found this pic of a black M3 with similar setup (just wider), which has me thinking I'm making the right choice
