Love this car to bits. Went for a nice driver out to Huia point lookout with the rest of the ECC crew on sunday afternoon- car performed brilliantly well, definitely getting rid of these landsail tyres ASAP though as they really were making me sail across the land. Can't wait to get a daily driver so she can be a weekend/garage queen. Spark plug change this weekend - May need to find someone to help me helicoil 3 valve cover threads as they've stripped themselves, no oil leaks on 2 of them but one leaking a small bit of oil into cylinder #3 causing a slight miss - hopefully can resolve fairly easily. (Dave/M3AN I hear you're the man for this? ) Thanks to Jayden (ibboostn) for building such a wonderful car - After owning her for a couple of months now I can certainly say it's the most fun car I've owned, and I'm not wanting more for once.

Few photos from the weekend (Cleaning car and also meet on the sunday)

Nick (e36 Butcher) is a good guy- He's up in Silverdale across from Ray. Awesome car this, I'd love to have it.

Mine are knocking. Not fussed on evo or 3.0, and don't mind 2nd hand as long as they're in good nick with no knocking. Reply/PM with pics and price. Cheers

Burnout button and auto throttle blip on a manual gearbox Would be hard to get out of the habit of heel-toeing. Quite a cool little car, all the newer 1 & 3 series are looking the same to me though :<

It looks very similar to the f10 5 series.. I'm very excited about closed deck single turbo though.

Supercheap - 40ish bucks, doing it myself soon

Very nice, would love one of these. E82 though (I believe), e92 is 3 series.

Could make a pretty penny selling that k24 plate on NZhondas

Love these wheels, they really suit the car.

As stated - Replace everything. If it's overheated it may be toast - alloy head so they tend to warp when they get too hot - even before the temp gauge hits max as it doesn't keep up with the temp. Time for a complete overhaul of cooling system, provided head isn't damaged.

Ooh you're coming up? Which car? Can't wait to see these wheels tomorrow Jayden

1995 E36 318Ti Barge Like Handling and Wobbly Steering wheel when Brak
Rubix replied to LemonHunter's topic in Maintenance
Probably original shocks, and all the items martin mentioned likely need looking at. Can almost guarantee shocks are original, as shock wear isn't factored into a WOF - being a cheap car in NZ it's likely just been maintained to "it'll pass a wof' standard. Have seen steering wheels off centre for a few reasons, have also read posts about it happening when a bolt is put in backwards - will pay to go over all suspension components -
Haven't done a compression test however on a dyno later in the day than another e36 m3 it made .4kw less, so she's pretty healthy.

Awesome mileage! I'm nearing 500,000km on my s50b30. Welcome, quite an impressive list of cars you've had.

S1000RR is on the to-buy list at some point - I miss my R6 and K4 ZX10, but the tech that they're putting into the new Beamers is insane.

DIY weight reduction taken too far.
