Bought a Montreal e36 yes, but it was a different Montreal e36 to the manual one listed on trademe in wellington. Still mint, black leather interior and completely original. Infuriating though as I now have to spend above what I was originally wanting to pay to get it to the spec I want.

I'm honestly furious. I spend 2 months looking for a 328i manual coupe, offering anywhere from 9-10k for really nice ones. I settle for an nz new auto and manual convert it, total price roughly 7500. 2 weeks later this pops up, along with a couple of other really nice ones, well below what I was originally offering. Murphy's fkin law.

Any common problems with 318ti and N42 engine?
Rubix replied to NZ00Z3's topic in General Discussion
The N42 happens to be one of the worst engines BMW ever produced. Find a 325ti if possible. -

Howdy, After the following: M3 bumper mesh, second hand okay, Out of curiosity anybody know how much they are through BMW? Clear light set for PFL coupe. (rails, front and side indicators). Nick has a set for $220 but would rather pay less. Can do a trade for my full amber set + cash if that works. Motorsport front bumper lip. PM me with prices of above, or post here, not fussed. Prefer not to ship unless a super good deal - Auckland based. EDIT: Updated.

One is 2 door and the other is a time bomb.

Does this particular E34 happen to be deregistered? If so, SJ sold that very quickly o.o

I think you may be vastly overestimating the price of an e30, especially a 316 in poor exterior condition, if you believe that you can trade it for a 6cyl manual e36/e46. :/

Possibly contact NZTA? Not sure if you can - however they should have the details of the owner, however they may not be able to provide them to you, worth a shot.

Glad to see montreal blue can look that good - Just bought a Montreal coupe myself and have dropped it to HellBM for surgery. Next up, Lip, Clear indicators all round, m3 mesh grille.

Probably better to ask this at vask.org.nz

WTB: Manual E36 328i/325i motorsport coupe, up to $8500

Quite likely, waiting to hear when I need to move some furniture about but if I have the time free then will come along. Unless the car is undergoing a transmission reassignment. (depending on when it can be done) -

Sorted. Bought the Auto Montreal Blue coupe from Auckland, sorting out manual conversion now. 2 owners, covered 40,000km since 2005 and has thousands of dollars in receipts with 16 years of service history. -

Am watching this. -
Huh, would be interesting to try out.

Do all of them have the boring gearbox? Have only had a look at one in the past (obviously not many around) but didn't get to look inside it - had hoped they'd be SMG or DCT.

Sorry Sam re: contact, have been quite sick so haven't been spending much time doing anything aside from sleeping. After recent cooling issues with a couple of the cars I've bought, I'd only buy a car outside of Auckland if I know that the cooling system has been overhauled and I won't have any issues getting back to Auckland. I definitely agree that Sam's car is immaculate, with a ton of work done, but the only info he couldn't provide was when the cooling system was last overhauled (only tstat and housing done in his ownership), which is a deal breaker for me unfortunately. Definitely a nice car though. As stated I have a 9k budget for the right car which is ridiculous for a 328i, Just amazed that no-one is really selling them at the moment -
