Looking for a new daily driver, preferably in Auckland so I can view. Wanting another manual 328/325 coupe, or if anyone is selling one, a manual PFL R53 Cooper S (Yes PFL, cheaper). No bites on Facebook or trademe, nothing interesting there. Ideally has service history and lowish km, but happy to look at whatever. No Autos unless <5k and motorsport in very good condition.

Non sunroof - Andy has one in black in wellington.

Did you happen to purchase a certain E36, or just new wheels?

Without tyres for a good condition set will be approx 1k. I've seen sets of 5 with tyres go for 1-1.3k.

Hey mate, Does it have a documented service history available? When were radiator, expansion tank, hoses, water pump, tstat + housing last replaced? Asking here instead of PM as it's info most people would wish to know

Understood - thanks for the info. I was under the impression a lower weight when engine is cold (i.e 0w as opposed to 10w) would be more ideal to reduce engine wear upon startup, but forgot to factor in climate - most of my reading is from USA forums where they obviously experience a huge range of climates. Is there a specific reason BMW recommend Castrol TWS 0w-60/10w-60 over a higher cP HTHS but lower viscosity range for s50/s52/s54?

Use Castrol edge 0w-60 or 0w-60 TWS. I'd replace oil ASAP if I were you. My old car is a testament to using the right oil. ~470,000km S50b30 on Castrol edge 0w-60. 10w-40 is too thick.

Looks like a possible split in your top radiator hose (based on that photo). You won't be driving it anywhere tomorrow unless fixed. Put some water in it, let it heat up and pressurise, see where coolant is pissing from.

318 is ms were a commemorative model built in SA, I believe about 2500 cars built, all came manual, as sedans with 17" style 32's. This does not include your regular run of the mill 318is'. Feel free to search this forum for previous posts regarding them.
