As some of you may know. I owned this car about 3 years ago and selling it was my absolute biggest regret in life so I contacted the guy I sold it to and asked to buy it back and thankfully he said yes, at twice what he paid for it! I couldn't say no though as I couldn't put a price on it. So I finally have it back in my care. It isn't running at the moment as the engine loom is off but that will be sorted in due time. Also there has been quite a bit of rust developing which I intend to sort out. On the cards are the following things : * Panel and paint * Rust repairs * Interior change or retrim * Suspension rebuild * Manual Conversion - planning to convert to the later motronic engine managment too, this 3 speed automatic isn't doing anyone any favors * Lowering * Recondition exterior trims * Dry ice blast undercarriage * Some Period correct wheels * Ceramic coating of exterior I am beyond excited for this undertaking.

Yeah dude. I love the gold wheels on dark cars. They stand out heaps! Thank you so much dude! Yeah I tried to make everything tie in with each other.
-
Thank you bro! I love it too. Hahah. I'm inlove with it!

Tsk tsk tsk. What do you mean even if it is a mtech 1? Haha thanks brother. Hope you're well man

Me too mate me too. I used George Stocks to get em done. I got them revalved to be a tad softer too. I like the comfort hahah!

Completely inlove with the look of this thing now. Little things left to do like restore all the trim finishes and get it painted. Will look at some better suspension next year. Thinking Bilstein B8s that I have already and have been revalved and refurbished by the NZ agents for Bilsteins. These wheels have really set off the car in my opinion and I am in the process of getting some custom centre caps made to make them completely how I want them to be.

Yours would be the dream bud

This is doable hahah

Can vouch for this car. Josh is quite particular about his vehicles and this thing drives superbly. I have had the honour of working on it and it's very very well looker after from what I saw. Good luck with the sale bud!

So i finally got my wheels done. I've assembled them all and still waiting for the sealer to dry on two of them. I fitted the tyres to the two that are sealed already and did a test fit to see what they look like on the car. Pretty impressed. Running Nankang NS20 195/45/16 on the front 8 inch rims and 205/45/16 on the 9 inch rears. I don't like overly stretched tyres anymore so this is a good happy medium for me.

Had to rebuild my 3.73 lsd diff today. It suddenly became very noisy and turns out the last person who rebuilt it didn't set the preload on the pinion shaft bearings properly leading them to seize up over the usage it has seen with me. Took the time to give it a lick of paint and properly set the preload after changing all the bearings for good measure.

Sure bud. Ring me. Just saw this 02102916373

Yeah mate, Northland is amazing! I absolutely love it there! Those roads are quite challenging in a lowered e30. I would of had a smashed sump in no time but thankfully the sump guard did it's job! Wow dude! I encountered a few horses but never in that situation!
-
Thanks mate! What were you driving? I got a lot of beeps on the way up! Haha it's going really good at the moment. I loved being able to drive with the top down the whole time. Thank you so much but. I will continue improving it and adding other things to it over time. A full repaint is on the cards in early December so I can't wait fot that!

Took the E30 for a roadtrip up to Russell this long weekend for a lovely roadtrip. Did some spirited driving and bottomed out a couple of times (thank God I put on that sump guard). Overall I covered 567kms of driving and it was absolutely amazing!
