  1. New rotors (been in storage for a while) and wheel bearing hubs for the vert today. Soon everythingthing will be new
  2. The vert chassis is slightly different to sedans or coupes. It is wider at the front at the front and where the sump guard would normally mount is no existent. There's approximately 7mm of gap betwen the guard and the sump. The picture isn't doing it justice. Fits nice and snug to the engine subframe and to the front chassis rails now.
  3. Modified a factory sump guard to fit my vert today
  4. Yeah I'm rebuilding another engine so I have it all in bits at the moment. I will probably get some high compression pistons instead of the roller rocker conversion
  5. Link ECU's for both vehicles bud
  6. I could not say no at that price to be honest bud. I have no idea what size the trumpets are but I am not fussed as I will probably change them anyways for some polished brass ones ;). Here's my old man's stroker we built with the same ITB's.
  7. bought some ITB's for my e30 Stroker build. Now to get my spare head ported and polished and some oversized valves fitted. Will be running a 292 cam with oversize eccentrics and heavy duty rockers. Not sure whether to spend the money on a roller rocker conversion kit or put that money into some custom pistons for higher compression
  8. You're welcome brother! Such a lovely ride
  9. Not mine. But the wife's. Just rebuilt the gearbox and got it up to scratch for her.
  10. Love the thread bud! love the car too! SJ from Apex here she sure is a beauty
  11. I build these all the time. I have just run out of stock of pistons. I thought I had more but turns out I don't
  12. As the title states. I am after two sets of short skirt pistons from a facelift e30 325i for building a couple of stroker engines Let me know who has some Contact SJ 02102916373
  13. Ahh yes I know Springfield. My old man used to work near there. Yeah man that would be cool. I have a few e30s in my shop up here in Auckland over the next few weeks. I have a passion for making them new again. Once the e30 bug bites, it's a lifetime of joy in many ways. The usual problems I see on my client's cars for WOFs are the rear suspension arm bushes, they often are very perished and the front inner control arm ball joints. The e30s like to be driven so enjoy yours!
  14. Good thing it's well fixeable! I am on the hunt for one of these soon
  15. I used to live in Kawaha Point when I first came to New Zealand from South Africa. I still have a soft spot for Rotorua. There's something about the Tech 1s that do it for me. Ahh @Sammos car is an absolute beauty. I love his car. Hopefully we get to meet one day bud. I will let you know if I am ever passing through in my e30! Looking forward to seeing some updates on your car as time passes. Glad it went to someone who will appreciate it!
  16. Welcome to the forum! Lovely car mate. I am an e30 enthusiast and specialist. I am partial to the tech 1 e30s and have a couple myself as well as built a few for clients etc. Where are you based?
  17. Welcome. Check if your car has had the rod bearings done as they are a common issue. Also the throttle body actuators can give issues. They also have the common electronic component issues like the the coils etc. Make sure the PCV system is working too and the Idle control valve is in good health. Welcome to the forum. Lot's of lovely BMW folk here
  18. did airbags deploy bro? this sucks man
  19. My mate Marquis Harris used to own this! What a beaut!
  20. haha Missed this as I was in the UK! I did this car about 5 years ago! Motor was rebuilt by the magicians at HellBM a while back but was barely driven, I just did the seals and timing belt, waterpump etc as it had been sitting for a while, old owner of the touring originally had a 260 box behind it but the centre hanger bearing crapped out whilst driving and shattered his gearbox casing when the driveshaft came loose, he opted to find a 240 box and shaft to replace it as the 260 boxes were too expensive. The car was good, few rust patches here and there but the engine and drivetrain was good. I opened up the sump on the motor and inspected bearings and opened up the top end and did the valve clearances etc. It was a very solidly built engine from what I remember. This is going back a good 5 years ago now
