I've not heard of a fan clutch causing overheating before. Usually when they fail they just over spin (i.e. don't clutch / fail safe)
-
If it were me, I'd be trying an M52 head on for size.

Thanks, yes not feeling the modern looking retrofits at all. Will source some used ones and restore.
-
Isn't that the one that's evo swapped? I'm sure it's been on earlier in the year.

A parking company sent me a letter for $80 threating ruined credit ratings and all that jazz. Perhaps I misunderstood 'opting-out' with NZTA, but I thought this would prevent these situations? Just for the record - on the day in question the parking machine wouldn't take my card, so I phoned the 0800 number and paid over the phone. Spent the last half an hour filling out a form, writing a letter, scouring bank statements (May), printing, scanning, emailing - feel for those not in an office who don't have these resources easily to hand - a big waste of everyone's time.

Hi, Are there any? Or should I just look for stock replacements? Need indicators too, one was held in with a cable tie. Cheers

This is usually my advice to people too. The 'premium' to get a manual car isn't 4-5k. I guess it just depends on how attached you are to what you currently have.

Maybe haggle down something reasonably undesirable like this - https://www.trademe.co.nz/3180144031 The clutch might even be ok, otherwise another 1200 for something HD you will stall all the time. Sell off what you don't need. I could help you through the labour side of things.

Rant about the poor state of TM car ads....
Blackie replied to topnotchrally's topic in TradeMe discussions
With the distant memories of waiting to get my hands on the Trade & Exchange every Thursday at 12, where the average car ad read 1985 Ford Laser, 4 doors, red, $3500, ph. 042348528. I'd say a few misspellings are a small price to pay for modern convienences. The options are legit too btw. -

Plenty of stuff listed here gets slagged. Depends on who lists it and how tight with the 'community' they are... Edit: I personally like the threads where it gets slagged until the seller pops up as a member, then the opinion changes 😆

This is true and it works

Trademe allows comments, questions, compliments, trolling. It's a feature. If you don't think that's right you should let them know. Personally I just shut my account with them (for many reasons) 😆
-
But I could say the same of posts on here too. I know I've made some comments that didn't go down well like I had planned 😅
-
Trademe is a forum of sorts - comments / opinions appear to be freely permitted (but can be removed on request). I don't think you can honestly dictate people where to share their opinion and where not to - if the media allows it. This forum at times is not immune from being a cesspit either. I can link some threads here waaay worse than anything ever seen on trademe.

Sellers start high, buyers start low

If anything it looks like non m is closing the gap recently.

I think that one's on trademe too. Has some nice exterior bits on it. Rear boot spoiler adds a nice touch I think.
-
Looks like it may have sold?
-
It's already been like this for over 20 years.
-
Everything will be on trademe I expect... you'd be silly not to appeal to the masses. There's a guy I see that frequents Oasis coffee with an M6 vert - tobacco interior. Very nice. No idea if it's for sale but.
-
Looks like some drivers side panels may have been replaced so I would check for evidence of accident but on the money otherwise.
-
You can still check for low pressure and should as a first step. Pumps can fail easily.
-
Have you checked the oil pressure with an actual mechanical guage? That would be my first step.
