Will take a pair if need be. With or without tyres. Must have no kerbing or damage. Closer to Wellington the better I guess but beggars.... etc. Thanks 027 758 7857

I went round in circles for ages. There was some quirk with their website i eventually figured out, but I forget what it was. Never heard from them.

It looks like a personal message?? gofaster > scottharvey

UK import. Twice the price of the other one been listed for months. Yes it's a manual but still 4k at retail would change that. Hmmm
-
I don't have Facebook and even with a link cannot see the vehicles without setting one up. I suspect they are limiting their market this way.
-
Maybe only driven on nice days then? Just joking
-
How's it any different to here? ?
-
Not saying it's not a good car understand. I quite like it too
-
I've seen a few go around 8.5. The front guards on this one are more pumped that the rear which looks a little odd imo.
-
I quite like that too, but seems a little steep to me.

I've driven half a dozen different ones of these while working for Ford. They were around 20k in the late 90's. Interesting cars but the asking prices well exceed the experience in my opinion. Cool story, the sales team wouldn't let people test drive them in the wet after a couple of incidents! ?

Very nice car. ?
-
Two of them are dead links anyway and could just be removed.
-
I'm a trade qualified panelbeater and painter but not sure how that's relevant to the thread considering no one has inspected the work or even viewed the car??

This is pretty sick. If anyone knows anything.. https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/123100484/i-thought-i-was-going-to-die-womans-car-rammed-aggressively-four-times-on-busy-motorway
-
Maybe. Just I feel people are making a lot of assumptions without having called about the car or viewed it. Some are E46 M3 owners of course.

Manuals with rod bearings done?
-
This is how I interpreted it... Not sold as a write off from what I could see. The car had been written off 12 years ago but was sold certified/repaired and road legal. Said about leak from dipstick tube (o-ring?) and fuel guage not working, etc. Relatively minor fixes? Maintenance was not mentioned in the listing - maybe you spoke with the owner? Classified price was $23K and listing said open to offers. 2003 Black, SMG Coupe with personalised plate

It's a common fault isn't it? I see you can get them rebuilt in the UK.
-
Free bump. Did you have any luck? I'm after the mid section brackets near the rear croasmember. A mate suggested the wreckers but I'm not confident any in Wellington would have this old a car in stock. Struggling to get any E36 parts on here anymore actually.

2001 E38 728i, one of the last to be made

Can anyone advise the firm price they speak of? -
SOLD We'll see it again in six months for 35k
-
Thats what we used to call craftsmanship. Before the throwaway generation. ?
-
I would argue parts were less avail 12 years ago and more expensive too. You couldn't just grab Chinese steel off Aliexpress back then.
-
Well, when you consider others have been on for 38-40, you could easily drop 10k on a rebuild and still be ahead. I guess thats what they're sayin
