Lovely car that, the interior is stupidly clean
-
Not sure if mine are factory as it previously had a Remus muffler - fabricator appears to have repurposed them and welded to new muffler though?
-
New muffler went on today and new rear twin section added from resonators back - looks much better and tips far more OEM (dual 2.5"). Did seem a bit loud on way back from the shop but I'll give it a few weeks to bed in / get used to it - its definately a deeper and less raspy tone which is good. Sadly however, most likely car will be being sold in spring. In the process of a seperation and highly likely a more modern all-rounder type BMW (M235i?) and will be replacing it in the future.

Holy sh*t! that was insane - amazing both survived.

buying advice Stuck Deciding: 330d vs 320d M-Sport — Coming From a BRZ
Sammo replied to Deeks.1's topic in General Discussion
Really like my F31 but I would never describe it as a fun car, especially coming from something like a BRZ. What about an M135i / M235i? -
My old Muffler has been rattling and getting tinnier and hollower for quite a many months now and appears to be a bust baffle in the muffler. Ordered a custom AdrenalinR muffler (great experience) and will be getting a new twin section made from the resonators back. Cant wait to get the old girl a fresh new soundtrack and replace the ridiculous 3.5” Remus square tips with something modest but purposeful 🤔

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
Sammo replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
There was another '318is' I saw on FB today - UK import, flat black with clapped seats and chavvy add-ons - for the low low price of $30k -
E30 lowering AP sport suspension kit
Sammo replied to elias's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Not sure if you ended up going another way - I have their shocks (51mm) on mine (H&R sport springs though) and they are good - nothing special - maybe an OEM plus type deal. Fine for daily and occasional push but in hindsight I would have sprung for a bilstein / Koni sport - no rush to change though, totally sweet. 40mm/30mm should be very similar height to my H&R sport - not sure if an M52 is heavier than an M20? With a PFL, rear is going to look higher, but you can tweak that easily by whipping different spring pads in / out. -
Haha very cool!

Came back to a parking buddy in downtown this afternoon - a Bimmersporter perhaps - pretty sure it had CSL seats that had me double taking.

We seen this guy? Looks like a bit of a case of 2021 pricing to me. Lovely looking car, except for the bloody hole cut in the bumper to stick a tow bar through.... was very happy to get my Mtech with a virgin rear bumper 🤣 https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/325i/listing/5346451388 -
Just try not to spend E30 M3 money on your E30 😂

Was a blue 964 under the cover - the other day there was a beautiful red 912 Targa and today this combo - I need to make friends with this person 🤣

Think it was just dupli-color vinyl and fabric paint - not 100% on colour, although think it was this one. https://www.repco.co.nz/car-care-panel/paint/specialty-paints/dupli-color-vinyl-fabric-paint-medium-grey-311g-hvp109/p/A6290318?kwSearch=Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric Paint Just be careful to not get it on too thick as it will get a bit stiff.

Amazing haha

New neighbour has some toys

I've just got 80a on my CABs and sway bar bushings, which don't impact NVH as you would expect - I would keep it fresh OEM rubber everywhere else though - certainly for engine / trans / diff, although have heard subframe may be OK with Poly.

Looks great on the weaves though!

How is the M2C - do you still have the E36?

3 year anniversary with the F31 and after humming and hah-ing a sideways move to something smaller and zippier like a GTI, have decided its too damn handsome and practical to replace without dropping $$$ and its better the devil you know, so will keep it another few years and treated it to a proper service to set it up for a little while: Oil / Air filter / fuel filter / cabin filter New Valve cover (only electric ones don't have a leak here haha) and breather hoses. Oxygen sensor

Another perfect Saturday, another early morning drive. This time went over the Awhitu Peninsula - through Waiuku to Karioitahi beach, then up and accross to Grahams Beach / Big Bay and Glenbrook. Stunning area, especially with the morning low fog today. Roads not as good as last weekend (from City to Waiuku is pretty boring) but once there its beautiful. To do list: Need to replace my drivers window seal - 51321904782 (bloody expensive) and sort my drivers seatbelt reciever before the next WOF. Also have a rattle from the exhaust that I'm hoping is just a hanger / mounting issue.
