Driving around in a freshly polished car is always quite fascinating. Within an hour I had two people literally wind down their windows and compliment it.
Good to hear - it looks amazing. Keeping a car always clean is the best mod.
Might explore ceramic coating after I get panel / paint done.

Where shall I legally drive to first ?!?
This is a great run - go earlyish on a Sunday (7-730) and should barely see a soul:
Basically Bombay to Huntly via Highway 22 backroads, then turn around and come back the way you came.
Bombay BP > Tuakau > Pukekawa > Glen Murray > Naike > Huntly Power Station

Will get the sunroof rust and a few other little bits of rust & panel work done which will necessitate partial respray, quite possibly a full respray pending cost differential.
Definately no rocket bunny kit

Damn dude, this is wicked! have always liked the idea of an E24 with V8.
Malachite with the BBS is going to look amazing too.

Few little wins:
While changing out my non-existent accelerator linkage bushings (great, quick, cheap, noticeable change) I thought I would have a look at my clutch pedal which had been a bit noisy and 'off' the past week.
Turns out one of the two bolts holding my newish master cylinder had wriggled loose - simple fix and firmed the pedal right up. The real benfit however it has totally solved my 'other' issue of 'clutch judder' in 1st / reverse changing certain gears - I thought I was in for a new clutch / flywheel etc!
Love it when a seemingly big issue is solved with something so simple - car is now shifting smooth as ever.
Also sourced a new flasher relay for faulty indicators for $45 (Hella - looks same as what came out of it) after finding out at BMW North Shore no BMW parts were in the country and would be $230 plus GST to import ex Germany.
Did get to see @Breaker 750i at BMW getting a wash though
Got quite a few jobs to do over the Xmas break while the wife is overseas - want it tip-top for summer spankings before it goes under the knife in April / May:
- Engine mounts
- Tranny mounts and fresh redline MTL
- Exhaust hanger / poly bushes for my aftermarket end links
- Oil & filter
- Refinish interior plastics with matte soft touch clear
- Paint correction and headlight refurbishment
- New Osram headlight and spotlight bulbs
- See if I can fix partially functional blower motor and resistor / washer jets before throwing parts at it
- 9mm spring pad front driver side to perfect ride height
- Full Cluster refurbishment (if my parts arrive on time...)

Would absolutely love a Type X but prices for nice ones are $40-50k plus.
And the steal-me factor is through the roof 😬

My own dumb fault but made the mistake of listing my old iPhone 12 Pro Max on Facebook marketplace.
So many mouth breathers, dreamers and scammers it’s crazy.
Thought I may have had a genuine buyer who was suddenly shocked I wasn’t going to instantly send it to him as soon as he produced his ‘bank transfer screenshot’. Shockingly the ‘funds’ never made it to my bank account 😂
Off to Trademe I guess and suck up those 8-9% fees…

Yes please, it has a dogleg gearbox

I had E46 M3 seats in my 330ci and even with the inflating side bolsters I wasn't a huge fan - looked good though.
Apparently E92 M3 seats fit and work well, although difficult to source used.
SR3 looks pretty natural in there - are later models wider?

Rose City Cars M6:

$88k could consider giving it a wee spruce up, maybe even a detail?
Could be a great car with some TLC but this is very Lazy listing like we are not heading into a recession...

An E34 540i is one of the best value BMWs going IMO.

Agree - It will be the auto toll paying sensor / transmittor IMO.
Cut something similar off my Jap import F31 without issue.
YMMV of course

Only found in virtually every 2-door E30 ever made.
Yes, but only $800 😆

Trade Me for a few days or so couple weeks back?
Lovely car - NZ New 325i manual with beige leather and 15 weaves I think.
-
Previously I've bought most parts offshore but had a fantastic experience with Euro Italian recently when I needed a new tie rod end for the E30 and got it on a same day courier on a Monday at a great price.
A real lifesaver which saved me having the car off the road for a while.
Will definately be using you in the future!

I want to say it was originally advertised at double that 4-5 months ago too?
$14k seems reasonable for a tidy two door with mint sports interior.
Market has definately cooled off in general, although apparently that Malachite Green wagon actually sold for $48k 😲

Beautiful car - the metallic green's are so right on a PFL.
Any plans for it aside maintenence? Looks perfect as-is IMO

Amazing work, I didn't realise this was already on the road - love how clean and stock it looks for such a modified car 🤙
Bet it rips too

Straight through the WOF today - my first such success with the E30!
Still a large to-do list however; I'm not sure being mildly pedantic + 35 year old 400,000km car go hand in hand but I'll give it a go!

Same as my old E46 - you can fit 6.5" components in there, the woofers will need to be on the shallow side though - looking at old emails looks like I went with JBL 6500C.
I remember tweeters required a little fiddling but got them in nice in the end.
I had an Ali Express OEM style touchscreen running wireless carplay and bypassed the factory amplifier with a 4x100RMS pioneer running the fronts and then bridged to a small sub in boot.
Worked well - solid quality, volume and functionality.
Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
