Been a bit busy with renovations lately so car has not had a lot of attention although will be taking it to the Meguiars meet on Sunday.

After having my clutch hydraulics replaced it’s driving ‘fine’ but get a little vibration when changing gear so likely I did do a little additional damage (to flywheel??) when I broke down…

Have also decided it’s too damn low so will be on hunt for some more moderate lowering springs, ideally with a little more spring rate too - H&R sports?

Anyway, will be off to Europe for 5 weeks next week, so the never ending to-do list will have to wait a while!!

  2. @Bandit that red MT2 went for $62k, after that a couple of charcoal ones with over 200kms went in the early to mid 40s.

I think there’s submarkets… MTechs are in their own.  That silver MT1 sitting at reduced price down from $70k is a dealer flip I think, he paid around $45k for it in ChCh if IIRC, did nothing to it (including rust on bumper, patched seat trim repairs etc) and took it to Auckland.  So far noone has fulfilled his expectations

  3. It is horses for courses and originality, spec, colour, etc all influence things and what someone is willing to pay.

A mint and original 4 door can and ? should command more than a rough 2 door that’s a few enhancements, modifications and paint jobs on from its original days.  Equally some modifications and enhancements make a particular car worth more.

What we do know is mint MTech coupes go for big dollars sigh

Does this mean the cars sold?

Indeed Adrian it has sold @adro, it is off to Auckland on Sunday morning.    Sold it for bit less than theoretical “worth” which I think itself falls below what I paid for it.  Happy enough with the outcome, will be very happy when the GP goes.

The buyer did a PPI at Continental BMW which it did well in, which was a worry going into but also confirmed it was sound. I prefer not to sell sight unseen so that gave us both a bit of comfort.

Buyer didn’t want the plates :)  Shame we couldn’t get a shoot together with your silver beast
