    M TOY M3

Well done on the theme, any chance of more pics of spoiler?
  2. Haven't told us anything other than that. The engine has already been removed and is at Taylor Automotive now...
  3. E46 did however it was fixed in a recall; S65 not. Thanks
  4. Not too sure. What I know is that the crankshaft can be repaired. It CAN be rebuilt, whether or not it's economical or not is another question. I'm betting not. From what I understand the rebuild will be a big task and I imagine it'll be easier (and cheaper) to just put a new engine in (in the process of buying). I am still exploring rebuild options though..
  5. Haha thanks. S85 V10 would be a cool swap. Think I'll be bringing an engine in from the UK. Unless in the meantime something pops up locally. Thanks everyone.
  6. Congrats on the buy! You finally pulled the trigger!
  7. Was driving through the Domain , started hearing a knocking noise so took it to McMillan's. The diagnosis is that bearings on cylinder 7 and 8 have been "run", and also damaged the crankshaft. It can be rebuilt but the quote is eye watering. A second hand engine looks like it could be half the price of rebuilding, and a new engine at 50% off is more than that.
  8. Thanks Bought from non-bmw dealer. Will do - thanks.
  9. It is. Seems to be a weakness with the engine. BMW would have good willed it had it not been an import. Life goes on. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/44718-e92-m3-failure-on-motorway/?hl=%2Bm3+%2Bbearing#entry487077 Thankfully this didn't happen and just started getting knocking and took it straight to McMillan's.
  10. Yep think I'll be looking abroad. S85 seems quite difficult and (I've heard) costly to transplant? Can't find it?
  11. GoPros were the best thing me and my partner ever bought. We use them for everything. Their versatility and durability is awesome. Diving, skiing, fishing, driving, shooting, tourist sh*t. It's awesome. Worth their weight in gold with all the photos we've had from them. Before I bought them I remember thinking $500... Wow that's a lot. So glad I bought them though. FWIW we have a 3 Black and the 3+ Black
  12. Rebuilders can rebuild it but the cost of rebuild is (at the moment) almost the price of a new engine (at the discount they've given us). The (much cheaper) alternative is obviously to source a second-hand engine.
  13. Hah, a bit . Rebuild cost is almost cost of a new engine. Seeing if a used one is available first.
  14. I wanted one of these SO bad when I had my 316Ti I like them more the longer I've been away from them; probably because they didn't need filling up every other day.
  15. If it's the same one it's an older fellow that owns that. Really nice example.
  16. Congrats on the sale and good stuff for passing it on to another enthusiast! Enjoy the E60.

    E36 M3 Resto-mod.

Looking much better! I drive past this car's old home every day, looks like it's been replaced with a Porsche of some kind (under a cover but looks 911)
  18. Was pretty keen on it until I saw the rabbit is smoked. Not a fan of smoked meats unless it's fish Does it taste smokey ?

    E36 M3 Resto-mod.

The illuminated one is the F10 M5 ZHP gear knob. I got mine from GetBMWParts but think that Modbargains and Turner Motorsport also have. In a rush out the door, will get link later if you haven't found it.
  21. Our New World had them
  22. I like angels on an E36. If you have the performance to match the aggressive look it (IMO) gives, go for it. Badass
