A Toyota Century v12 would be the best choice. (If your a conservative Japanese Diplomat)

You can pick those up for 1/5th of that! (or maybe the slightly older models) Looks like this guy needs an education in vehicle depreciation trends..

An immaculate 535i Motorsport E34, silver travelling through New Market the other night.

Amazing value the E65s now. Enjoy!

Yeah its annoying, I ended up replacing the stock rusty system my car had with a 'good' 525i system, although it has a smaller center resonator, and rear muffler hence the extra idling noise I'm getting... a shame I couldn't find a good stock 535i exhaust but I think with the spare 540i muffler fitted to the back and the front section condensed down it to a twin - single - twin setup it should quieten things down properly. Oddly, the noise I get at idle can be eliminated by blocking one of the rear muffler pipes with a damp cloth! ------------- Little update on the V8, finally got around to fitting the M3 radiator top tank. Much tidier than the setup I had before!

It's a shame how the pixels go dead like they have on your E39.. Mine are all still working in my 22 year old E34... seems absurd they would go wrong in a car half the age! Guess it just goes back the whole quality/accountant interference that took place all those years ago.

Sourced a bigger rear muffler to put on the 535i, hopefully that + an x pipe section will help to shut up the droney exhaust noises at idle.

I actually don't mind that. It's only logical really... Hear Hear.

That's excellent. Will be a great runner.

Very interesting. Too bad about that annoying American accent doing the commentary though.

I just noticed the roll cage extends to the front strut towers. Always nice to see that extra step has been taken!

So all this is made in Germany too?
-
Hmm.. whats the plan for the intake?

A V8 E46 wagon would be awesome, but as would a manual 2.8 version, especially if the costs are kept down.
-
yes hence, 'perceived' I like stock Motorsport heights personally.

That Warsteiner E30 M3 is fantastic. I used to have an RC car with that body shell.

But too much stance for me, but nice.

Word. A perceived 'cool' look becomes a major safety issue, especially when dealing with older cars with worn and fatigued parts.
-
Oh it's a nightmare of the job, not exactly difficult in the thinking sense, but just awkward and exhausting, especially when it comes to lifting those heavy stock exhausts back up!
-
Yeah the centre bearings like to go. My E34s one is starting to go, but I might just hold off until I look at converting it to manual or not..

So... an E34 535i manual conversion... the idea has been on my mind lately, the 4 speed automatic is ok at present but I imagine it will pack up sooner than later this year and I want to be prepared to fix it (if/when it happens), and lets face it, the auto spoils the driving experience of this car, especially with the 4 speed ratios! I should probably search this but I'll go ahead an ask anyway... which gearbox do they take, Getrag 260 or 280? Does any one have all the parts required from a wrecked car / are willing to perform the conversion at the right price? I imagine the driveshaft and gearbox are the two main things to source locally, the rest can at least be imported from ebay etc. Any help is appreciated.
