Nice examples. Big contrast in height next to the stock Sedan! Also, with the black grilles next to the stock finish grilles, I can say I prefer the factory look more. The 'black' look seems unfinished IMO.

Best shop for an alignment in Auckland?
Michael. replied to Michael.'s topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
I've replaced every suspension bush, tie rods, mounts etc, so it will need a proper alignment. -
I was joking. Duh

Best shop for an alignment in Auckland?
Michael. replied to Michael.'s topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
That is my concern. -
I think the speed limit should be 75km/h on the open road since the horrendous state of New Zealands open roads could damage our cars suspension components etc. End random comment.

Wow, gone of the old granny style A class it seems.

Nice find Cliff.

Hello, I am seeking a set of Style 22 or 39 genuine wheels, with or without tires. Please send me a PM with pictures and price if you have some you're willing to sell. Thanks in advance.

I would say no front plate....

G'day. I'm after a shop that does wheel alignments, but does a proper job. I've been unhappy with places I've been to in the past so after someone that actually does the job right. Anyone able to recommend a shop(s) based in Auckland? Cheers Mike.

Any ideas what you will do for the rear mufflers to make a good true dual setup? There is the option of having one of those single mufflers that are dual in and dual out, with no balancers inside but they still allow the note to blend a bit, being that the gases share the same absorption chamber, so aren't the best solution. For a long time I've been convinced the only way to get a good sound on a BMW V8 is to have the rear tire well deleted, and having a flat steel plate welded in place in order to free up the under car space at the rear, much like on the Z3 M coupe, M5 and E92 V8, which in that area mufflers take up the space of the exhaust. That way you can run two properly sized rear mufflers and have a chance at getting the best true dual sound - a good example are the Audi V8s, RS4s and RS6s.

Hmm not very imaginative, but for cost effectiveness deleting the rear muffler with straight pipe can do the trick as a temporary measure. Do post up a couple of videos! Revving stationary and a drive by would be good. At least you want a true dual exhaust later on. All I can say is make sure it's a 'true' true dual system, free of nasty X pipes.

Mmmm fair call! Quite astonishing how much torque they can produce with a tweaked engine management system. Certainly will make for effortless town driving!

Sounds great. Good price/condition/mileage balance would you say? Did you consider the 4.2 V8 option?

Look at it now! Thats hilarious.

Toyota Soarer Active suspension compared against 850i & Legend
Michael. replied to Michael.'s topic in Videos & Sound
Smart man, I ended up buying 4 of them before realizing they were pretty lame cars, the styling was the first thing that one day started putting me off and then after I drove a few good BMWs I realise they are not only stupid looking but an extremely dull handling car. -
Hello, I after a ring and pinion gear set for 188mm Medium case diff, either 3.91 or 4.10 ratios, 4.10 would be best. If you have a complete E36 non LSD diff with these parts I may also be interested in that instead. Please supply prices if you can help. Thanks in advance. Mike.

Toyota Soarer Active suspension compared against 850i & Legend
Michael. replied to Michael.'s topic in Videos & Sound
Well summarised Josh. I don't know how I liked them the way I did all those years ago. Through my ownership of BMWs I've realized what stupid looking cars the Soarers are, a bloated boat for the road. The way they drive and feel is probably just as odd as their looks, after driving one you look forward not getting back into one until you have to drive it. Yet the soarer forum guys still think they are best car in the world. It's a laugh. -
Common problems, well generally the entire car is a problem. I strongly suggest your friend to avoid and just go for a coupe version.

Toyota Soarer Active suspension compared against 850i & Legend
Michael. replied to Michael.'s topic in Videos & Sound
Yeah most of them are in need of repairs, and its expensive, I know many who have invested the thousands to get/keep their suspension system going but its not easy. Heh I know I would rather be in the TT manual too, way more fun. But even so, Id rather be in a BMW, MUCH more fun again, and the styling/brand factor also comes into it.
