Heh I've seen you been asking a few times. I had some issues to address which slowed progress, but now that all the custom conversion parts are complete I will be swapping all the gear from the E36 shell I've been using as a template into my work E36 start from the last week of July (25th+) and then the fun begins of plumbing and wiring it up. It's cost a small fortune and countless ours of my time thus far - I just hope it will be worth it when its cert'ed and back on the road. Tell me about it! Oh how I hate that.

I liked what Clarkson had to say about the car, and the actual shots of the car, but I hated the' Tron style' effects mixed into the editing. They get a bit carried away in post production sometimes, the same thing happened with the LF-A review. Those visuals might be some peoples cup of tea but I see it as tacky and not necessary. Otherwise....... a good Top Gear episode, loved the end section Clarkson did on the E-Type.

God damn I am sick of the despicable driving standards most drivers in Auckland have adopted, it seems next to no one is aware of the 4 second rule when following cars on the motorway at highway speeds in rainy conditions. What possesses them to want to tailgate 3 meters behind a car at those speeds when grip is reduce??? are they totally oblivious to what will happen when they slam their brakes on in those conditions?! Being the sensible guy that I am, when I drive in these conditions I like to leave a nice 3-5 second gap in front of me so that I have ample braking space in case of a sudden halt in traffic flow, yet I get these jumped up fools in their overloaded vans or Subarus getting right up my chuff, which after a few moments decided to make an evasive maneuver to overtake me and get right in front, meaning I have to fall back a second or two so theres an appropriate gap again....... It's no wonder we have so many accidents... why can't the police address this as a campaign for road safety, but oh thats right they just want to invest in making money out of speeding 'offences' Sigh! I suppose theres little that we can do as individuals, but in the bigger scheme of things, nearly everyone knows the give way rules correctly so why can't they adopt appropriate following rules... Is it just me or do others feel the same on the matter?

I do like the look of that. I just fail to understand BMW at present, they make a car like the E90, a classic BMW design, then go arse about face and make an absolute affront to the badge with models like the latest X1, and 1 series, do they even bother with press releases like what was done for this M3 above? If they do they would have to hire some good cleaners to mop up the floor after everyone had been sick.

Getting on the Motorway at Western Springs, I saw a rather nice M325i E30 Coupe, Rego ended in '890' I think Tidy car indeed.

I bought some of these from Tom, I can say they are a must in any E36 or E46. Vorshlag make some really excellent products. Well worth the money.

Indeed, I didn't realize the vandalism was so wide spread until watching more clips, the M5 vandalism is mere by comparison to what was done to the surrounding area. Quite disconcerting something like that happened in what I thought was a very civilized western city.

That clip got me quite annoyed. Exotic car vandalism is utterly disgusting.

I think all of the M5s are excellent. Right from the 80s to this one. Just a shame its cheating with turbos. I'd rather have true naturally aspirated M power M5 though.
