Anyone want a 1996 NZ new ragtop 328i? Heres your chance...
Palazzo replied to Phil-540i's topic in General Discussion
Most chicks used to love it (it's been in the garage for years), guys used to hate being passed by it. As soon as I tell a chick I have it, they want to go for a ride. I think it's the age/shape (of the car, not the driver), as opposed to an E36, but who knows? -

There's another one asking $6k on TM, I thought about replacing the E30 with one, then thought why? -
Got it sorted at Manukau, Takanini a touch too far south. Cheers.

Delicious bit of irony. A/c belt arrived, no serpentine belts in country. Might be looking for a BnT in Manukau.
-
I thought it was horrific considering US "how to" web sites were quoting like $18.

I'm sure you all know what Repco stands for, but I had an outstanding example today. The a/c drive belt broke on our Mazda 3, called Repco, $132. Called South Auckland Motors, (Ford/Mazda dealers), $35. Then decided I needed the much larger serpentine belt as well, they felt sorry for me because they weren't in stock, got both belts for $65, in tomorrow. On the off chance that anyone else has a Mazda or Ford (unlikely) that our sponsors don't want to deal with, they have been excellent to deal with (in my whole two experiences). By comparison, I can't drive past John Andrew fast enough.

Isn't there someone always wanting one of these? Fiji green.......

Mine has had the M325i with black leather interior and no a/c while pregnant and with baby, then the 328i coupe with toddler and now a Mazda 3, all manual, she would rather drive than walk. -

There are plenty of auto 318i's clogging the passing lane already, just get one of them, even if they aren't in that eye watering colour. -
I'll take it if still available

No kindle, can't understand the attraction. The original Stig had an amusing book, but I just finished Mike Tyson's autobiography, which was really interesting to me as a Tyson fan. The guy is a wreck. I love books, have since I was a kid reading Charlottes web at age 6.

Just finished at St Luke's. Imagine my delight to see 2 sets of traffic lights go out as I left. Bahahaha!

Then you'll love this, I can't believe nobody has put the police to the sword over it. Read the danger spots at the bottom, then read the radar spots. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11168484

Ours stranded us once in 70,000km (from 260-330km), fuel pump, in the garage at home. New one and away it went.

My cousin in Oz is a pursuit cop, they use manual FPV F6s and love them. XR6 Turbos in the city I think.
-
An Eco boost Falcon is tested at 6.8 for 0-100, an E39 540i at 6.4, better hope they don't get a good start.Power and torque are supposedly identical for the 528i too. I can't see why it shouldn't be reliable.
-
It is a CVT, not an auto. Would explain the perceived lack of performance too, they never seem to deliver.
-
I think it's a huge shame. I love my Turbo Falcon and think it's massive value for money, for what I wanted it for a, V8 Commodore was also on the list. Having driven it for a while now, why anyone would rather drive a slow, roly poly SUV is beyond me.

Were they the wrong length for your cab?

On the off chance that somebody might be interested, I have a couple of cars for sale. One belongs to a mate who has bought a new GTi Golf and the other is my mothers car, she now has a 1 series. Neither of them are particularly interested in dealing with TM, so it's my job. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/audi/a4/auction-664666160.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/toyota/supra/auction-665298240.htm Let me know if you have any questions.

I have a Tech 1 on my cab, I'm pretty sure I'm right. Good luck.

Cabriolet Due to the deeper sills of the Cabriolet model, the front wings are incompatible with the other E30 body styles. Cabriolet wings have a longer section at the bottom to match the sill, so a standard wing will be too short. However, it is possible to weld the extra section on to standard front wings if needed. Fortunately, pre- and facelift cabriolet wings are the same so if you're trying to source a replacement, they'll be a little easier to find

I think it's a Zender kit. The cabs have deeper sills, so I doubt a standard Mtech 1 kit would fit. PM me your email if you want and I'll email you photos of mine for reference.
