  1. Budget of $5k or so is no X5.
  2. I think the X6 has 4 seats. Peugeot and Volvo did some older 7 seaters, otherwise it's pretty much satans' spawn, aka people movers.
  3. Great car. Just expensive to fix, like $5k for a clutch.
  4. Nice. I've just picked up an S55 AMG Kompressor for 10 days, forgotten how much fun it is.
  5. I have one sitting in the garage undriven for 6 months with full Tech 1, 15" weaves and lowered. It's a joy to drive I seem to remember.
  6. Another tip, take a parent(s) with you and make sure the judge knows they are there to support you. Works wonders, or did for me.
  7. Really? How does that make it tidy sitting in the middle of the parcel shelf? For the lap belt?

I had a Legacy RS for 9.5 years. The day I decided to keep it another 6 months, it was stolen. Otherwise I might still have it.
  9. Turn up to court neatly dressed, be courteous and prob just a fine, (plead poverty, are you a student?, smaller fine). I think there's a possible loss of licence with careless and definite with dangerous, someone may care to correct me.
  10. Hmmn. I have largeish factory speakers there, with no room for a hole/bolt to be used. There is a black plastic triangle (about 50-75mm) on the shelf, I have no idea what that is for?
  11. Perfect, thought there was something somewhere. We used a new born capsule in the front of the E30, it's absolutely fine, just whip the belt through (properly) and you're away. Take it the bolts are under the trm somewhere Hartage?
  12. You mean a toddlers fixed seat? I haven't but am curious. Was hoping to find an ISOFIX bolt, but couldn't.
  13. I would say no. The seat is much narrower and there are only two belts. Fine if you want big gaps, but otherwise pointless?
  14. I have an old vertical freezer that doesn't work if thats any use.
  15. Go for a Lexus IS or Altezza (6cyl) auto with Toyota No Worries warranty. Effectively no repair bills for 3 years. Swift is good value as long as you don't need much luggage space (eg baby buggy), or an E46 Compact should easily be in that price range. Latest Impreza would be good if it falls into budget. That's at least 4 or 5 cents worth. BTW, I wouldn't touch a Saab, their mechanics in Newmarket warned me away from them.
  16. Admittedly the electronics could be a concern, but it's different, quick and cheap. plenty of money spent too, which is encouraging. A 535i manual is prob your best bet at current prices. I do know of a decent E32 735il, but not much of a fun car.
  17. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=220704509 This. Huge fun and most of the hard work done. There's a lovely Integrale too, but way out of budget.
  18. What do you want to spend? A runner, or something that can be made mint? Have a couple of ideas. Both reasonably tidy.
  19. Actually, the roof wasn't straight. Didn't have leather or "M spec" stuff either. Thought someone might find it useful.
  20. We once owned this car (hope link works), it was lovely, except for the fact that I rolled it through a paddock as a youngster. It was never quite straight again. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-221072668.htm
  21. It 's the same car some one posted the other day, at Turners Palmy North, last Thurs I think. Was $5-6k estimate.
