Pretty sure the M3 has a different pressing under the floor of the boot. There isn't room for this type of muffler, but you can fake it, which is probably why they look a little odd with the spacing.

Yeah, cause the driving experience of the e39 is in another league. Besides, I'm about 99% open road so the odd 3/4 point turn hardly bothers me. Also, lording it over the Remmers tractors has appeal ha.
