  1. Longer wheel base sure helps. Ive found E34's to have less rattles etc than E39, even rugged neglected ones usually ride smooth and quiet.
  2. The M54 has plenty of its own flaws. The older 6's are far more reliable and robust in that regard.

    Benz E63 AMG

Well the newer model is always technically better, if you jumped in F10 M5 from the E60 im sure it would be the same story. It always better having more gadgets, power, handling etc until things start to go wrong.
  4. A Jurid OEM front and rear pad set incl shipping would be approx $300NZD from Pelican Parts, so yeah 1\2 price. Ive used random ebay sellers in Europe before but mainly Pelican Parts. Orders from US usually only take 1 week to arrive. Every supplier i have dealt with local or otherwise has been fine.
  5. Depends if you want to buy local or not. BNT do Mintex which are a good OEM alternative, and Bendix Ultimates. Euroitalian or Milland would probably have something. Race Brakes will probably have more performance orientated pads rather than OEM spec stuff. Might save a little bit ordering overseas from Pelican Parts etc if you dont mind waiting Yes you can re-use your sensor in this case
  6. Yeah EDC is a different system. Id be checking what you actually have exactly to start with. Does the EDC still function? it may of possibly been replaced. Have you actually measured the heights?
  7. Id be surprised if it has pressure accumulators being a non iL. Does it using ATF or CHS11 for power steering?
  8. Any difference is offset by added complexity\maintenance of E60. Get a motorcycle if you want to save on gas, maintenance and have something fun. You Don't have to worry about sitting in traffic either.
  9. Price is pretty reasonable to me, dime a dozen those cars.
  10. Ive used NZAD rotors for awhile now and never had an issue, that includes plenty of track days also.
  11. The 530i had the ZF S5D while the 540i's and other BMW's got the Getrag 420G
  12. Never felt the need to use heating seats ever, NZ ain't even cold let alone Auckland.
  13. When i got mine done i sacrificed a spare rear seat for material.
  14. Id rather have a blown M62 than S62 anyway. Good power and reliability.
  15. 3.15 Diff in the M sport auto is an upgrade over the factory 2.83 or whatever it. Economy maybe slighly better but don't know why you would care about that tbh. If you planning on keeping the car for awhile, its far more beneficial to put in a manual for a little more. It will also increase value and help resale if you ever sell it too.
  16. Isnt shipping only like 30 usd? I got 2 in for like $250.
  17. Ive think ive got a set lying around i dont want

    E34 Boot Struts

Ive yet to see any 2nd hand ones that have the power of new ones. I got new Stabilus ones for bonnet and boot($20ea from pelicanparts). They are so strong you hardly need any effort to open.
  19. Alot of if's. Its obviously been neglected(hopefully only body) and the low k's may or may not be a good thing. No doubt a proper inspection will give a better idea. I don't like the colour personally.
  20. Seems to me you'd be better off buying one in decent condition for not much more.

    E34 M5 3.6L

Looks std to me. Was someone on this forums that wanted one iirc. Looks tough as, GLWS.
  22. Sure it may be harder to sell but if you can get it for a good price, you'd probably loose less. You usually pay a premium for some arbitrary numbers. Comes down to the car too, a 300,000km E30 M3 in good nick is still going to have value, and maybe even easier to sell due to the price.
