Priced some up from BM workshop a month ago. $160 each for the fronts, $155 each for the rear. Brand was Zimmerman. Decent price. Just got some rear Rensa pads for my 750i for $69 from BM warehouse.

Anything wrong with it?. Pretty low k's for an M30

Good movie. Clive Owen sure likes his BMW's. The Hire short films were quite good also.

Id say it was the capacitor\capacitor solder joints in the cluster causing the erratic gauges. You can try resolder the joints or put new ones in. I had the same problems in a donor E34 i brought and ended up swapping the cluster out. Sound like better off doing that. Your odometer will read what the replacement cluster has done.

Can someone show me a pic of the idle control valve

Cant miss it -
+1 ordered a 750i water pump in short notice and at a very decent price. Thanks again, can go on my road trip now.

To me seems like the 74,000 should be 174,000 . Id guess the WOF guy probably missed out the 1

+1 shocks and springs first. Most strut braces i see for sale are just eye candy anyway

Should say on the back on the fuse box cover but I would think if it was the fuse the whole cluster would not work. Does none of the cluster light up? I had the rev counter light go out one day on once just needed a new bulb. +1 on speed sensor cable at back on the diff for the speedo

Looks real clean, love the dish too.

Prob the LKM(light control module) acting up, common problem. I resolder'd some joints in the 730i one and did the trick. Info on the net about it.

Yeah. V12 is basically 2x 2.5L 6 cylinder strapped together so has 2x of alot of parts like 2x air, fuel filters, O2 sensors, distrub & rotor, ecus etc etc. It had alot of advanced engine managment systems for its day also. Just parts aren't easy to get & cost a bit compared to 6 cylinder and are a bitch to work on. I got the similar millage cruising in the 750i as i did with my 730i, 11-12 per 100km.

God knows how you can not like E24 Would think the cam chains would last big longer than 140,000.

If someone hasn't taken care of the cooling system i wonder want else might of been neglected mainly in the suspension department. You might pour everything you earn + more into a 750i, esp if you are paying someone to do the work
-
Sounds like you have spent a bit on it considering you can get mint examples for 4-5k maybe less. I picked up a tidy '92 730i for 3.3k,170k, cream leather interior, fixed the intake leak and she was mint. Sold it for 3k Probably be ok if you could do the work yourself otherwise gets expensive real quick as you've found out. Guess it comes down to liking it that much you want to restore her to former glory. Whats the rest of the car like?

Could put 100W bulbs in but need a higher powered relay for best results

Day before i picked up my car the current owner had kicked someone out of his flat, they then proceeded to attempt to key homo into the drivers door.

Similar thing happened to my mate with his Stirling bolt action 17 HMR. I think it was more to do with the hot ammo than anything, the case ruptured upto firing damaging the bolt. He took it back to the shop and they repaired it for free. Heaps of pukes, magpies and plovers where i live but the.204 turns them into feathers real good

Thing that pisses me off isnt the cameras but rather how they keeping saying its about safety rather revenue. Why else would you put officers and cameras at the end of passing lanes just to catch some chap doing 120kph or a bit over trying to pass.

Nice try fool

Nice pics, wouldn't mind a drive out Piha but too bad i dont live in Auckland. Out of curiosity what does your 3.46 diff do at 100kph?.
-
Cheers for the comments Had my rear end in bits for 2 weeks while doing the suspension, too long without a drive for me. Take it as a motivator

Lol, i remember that. What a waste Edit (bravo): no need to quote immediately preceeding post.
