i also see a guy trying his best with what he has and doesnt need to defended that fact nor people stating the obvious
-
you do what you want, where you can, and how you can, ignore the comments dude your doing well and im sure your learning much so keep going to how it suits you
-
unfortunately you cant control some people but i guess they are all entitled to be on the track within reason
-
at the end of the day its each to their own
-
Then there's the other-side of the coin Jon You could participate and show them how its done
-
really? more power than skill?
-
stripped the e34 interior out/boot the amount of crap in them is amazing lined the doors with ally removed steering lock, next new flywheel and clutch setup then turn the boost a few more psi
-
ooooowwwww thats not good what let go?
-
Decided 11psi in the 318i wasnt enough after 15,000km so turned it up to 18psi.....gearbox not sounding so good anymore but does go very well
-
bottom line Its none of your business Mitchell now run along
-
from what i understand ask aarron hes knows it all......
-
well that answers many things your here to troll like on facebook, now run alone and play with the other kids then again it must be past your bed time
-
Ah yes ive been told he went to school with aarron or good mates and hes doing the same on facebook and other forums, shred had 3 attempts at putting forward their best foot and keep changing their story court decided the outcome no one else

Any engine builder thats worth a damn never reuses a oil cooler after a blow up as its impossible to know if its 100% clean inside thats fact !!! As for the other turbo it was an installation issue which they were quick to point finger but again didn't have the facts to which again they got it wrong as i had never seen or touched the turbo just sow grapes me thinks. If you're happy with them thats awesome there may just be a few that aren't and i'm sure your relaying all this on to Aarron ( who is only a worker at shred ) which is why you're asking so much so no need for other details, case closed with the right result.

turbos failed due to oil dysfunction the oil was contaminated badly with fuel this makes oil very abrasive reports were done to support this finding which is another reason why the engine failed based on a poor tune, they also never changed the oil cooler from an engine blow up which no one in the automotive industry that is worth a damn would reuse a contaminated oil cooler very amature thing to do
-
Theres many more that can be added to that list Four years ago they were changing tyres thats all the shop was, brought a dyno had to be shown how to use it and how to tune and now they experiment at the owners cost we all know thats never going to end well for anyone. Don't use boys to do a mans job

M50 block 2.8l turbo project questions
No name user replied to ntaylor90's topic in Forced Induction & Performance Tuning
if your going to the trouble of doing this then a re bore is my pick im also finding MLS gaskets a pain and not that clever if you would like to know more pm me -
i spent many hours modding the block/pump setup on my m42/50 the oil flow from the pump to the filter and back is very poor but being patient with a die grinder works well
-
that dyno is built by torque performance and all there software does the same thing i hate using them as it makes no sense to read unless you know diff ratio versus speedo and rpm at set point agree and the point would be? there is none but making it hard to under stand what it all means
-
1030nm is a tad different than 1000ft/lb still light car itll go well time to hit the track and show us what it does
-
i was going to say 16yr school boy but granny will do
-
if the runs were done in 4th which is how its meant to be done then with a 3.46 you would have 289ft/lb mtr and 3.64 you would have 274 ft/lb mtr which is about right going off a to4z comp map and that motor
-
torque is divided by diff ratio if you had 1000ft you would know it dont get me wrong im not bagging the result i just question the numbers people get i do this 24/7 i can also work back to the compressor map based on the power your getting/psi to confirm if the dyno guy has done right by you
