as requested the gear knob shot B)

Posted Image

Ahh... the knob shot

Anyway, It's almost time to paint, I've chosen a colour but I'm confused on what bits I should paint (strange question I know)

Aiight so here it is (keep in mind the colour is a lighter colour)

If it stays non tech2:

Paint door handles - Yes/No

Paint door trim - Yes/No

Paint wingmirrors - Yes/No

Paint front and rear bumpers - Yes/No

Leave under the doors black - Yes/No

If I buy a tech2 kit for it:

Paint door handles - Yes/No

Paint wingmirrors - Yes/No

Hopefully the above makes sense.

..

And go!

And Edit/

Pulled up at the lights today on the way back from getting some Subway and this driving instructor car pulled up next to us. The 70+ old man in the drivers window rolls it down, leans out and says.. "Hey, Oi!... Choice wheels bro"

What a rad dude... haha grandpa was sippin' on gin and juice.

Just thought I'd share

Agreed ;) However would you paint the trims that go up the center pillar on the doors the same colour as car? Would look funny wouldnt it? Id leave those trims black regardless.. just an idea..

Yeah dude, will be leaving those trim pillar bits black regardless.

If it stays non tech2:

Paint door handles - No

Paint door trim -No

Paint wingmirrors - Undecided, contrast is good, but after painting mine im glad i did it

Paint front and rear bumpers - Undecied, maybe just paint the bumpers and leave the black middle strip?

Leave under the doors black - No

If I buy a tech2 kit for it:

Paint door handles - No

Paint wingmirrors - Yes

My 2c

cheers

I love tech2 but am starting to lean towards your view JiB

r3v has a few nice examples of non tech2s done right.

Must also agree with the others here Matt, I could go tech II along with everyone else but I also think a stock FL can look pretty badass.. if anyone can pull that off its you sir! :D

hows the paint coming?

Hey mate - Still sorting out the kit before painting sadly..

But some good news! I just picked up some tech2 sides, rear bumper, 4 door pods, euro plate surround and some final interior bits! This means I can finally hide the dents that I can't beat out and then spray the damn thing.

It's going to be a mutant IS front lip + tech2 sides and rear. Hahaha.. haters hate away.

I think I'm going to make the twin pipes longer.

Also; I need to get the front wheels balenced, some new rear tyres, gear shifter trim (lol still), and an alarm at some stage. And I wish I didn't have an Everest of a driveway so I could go lower..

Might also get a euro plate like all the cool kids.

Thats all for now. No pics, maybe in the weekend

/Edit. On another note. You need to check out Andy Sapps E46.

For real.
