KwS 2424 Report post Posted April 18, 2014 I personally think the E39 is still the best 5 series shape, and one of the best mid size sedans around. Certainly hasnt dated as much as almost everything elese from that time.

bmw335i 16 Report post Posted April 19, 2014 Sexual dark blue e46, super low on some dished 5spokes the other morning in pakuranga. Was in my e30. Might be Jassot.S. ?
jeffbebe 1559 Report post Posted April 19, 2014 Saw a very tidy Anthracite Grey E39 M5 just down the road from me in Grey Lynn. Can't be many of these and it wasn't Dave O's Old V8 M plate.
Eagle 1661 Report post Posted April 19, 2014 Proportions.even now an e30 or an e34 or even an e 24 still turn my head I agree, they have all aged well and have a perfect old\new balance. Ive met quite a few people who thought my E34 came out in mid 90's. E39's still look good but are too common to really stand out.

The car didn't sell with those V8M plates. I think the new plate is HJT*** something as I've also seen it in ponsonby recently.
MISS BM 712 Report post Posted April 19, 2014 Passed a copy or my car (minus ACS work) heading south for road trip. Also a coupe, same colour with similar rear bumper (minus PDC) Gave the indian dude a thumbs up for picking E46 in that colour/shape and then drove off, hahaha. Yeah it sold on Friday who picked it up. Would have been the new owner as AFAIK mine was the only Anthracite E39 M5 in NZ.
