What'd you do to your BMW today?

Recommended Posts

Test fitted my 1UZ engine and gearbox in my E36 shell earlier today, now working on a CAD bracket for the trans mount that I will have laser cut next week.

All go at this stage!

What'd he say?

Cool plate but just letting you know unfortunately these plates are now illegal so have to put old ones back on or get new plates and he walked away. I just said I never knew.

I did nothing to my BMW... the VW is a different story.

why did he lift the throttle? you've still got more power to come. that's a huge improvement.

Is this the rebuilt engine? or just tuning for the longer runners

if i had cams i would get more top end james but thats really about were its at. its still the old motor and was doing a testing stage on the runners. its broke again now though ive got a trigger error which is causing the link to fuel cut.

Put new oil in the transmission which has being playing up and brought some time before that needs to be replaced. Before im asked, i am tempted to put the m52b28 from my e30 I parted out into it and manual convert at the same time, seeing as I'll be pulling the engine to change the trans anyway and I haven't sold that yet... Hmmm

Washed it today too looks a million bucks

Installed an E30 wheel, looks much better than the stock e34 non airbag wheel

Had my ACSchnitze rims painted a few weeks ago too, looking good ha

Daughter thinks E36 looks too much like dads car so painted rims - now she wants the front end lowered (so does dad)

I'd agree with that... an inch or two. Looks pretty sweet in a kinda subtle way though :).
