Some people don't want the 3L because of the gas use and would take a 1.8-2.2 version just for the image, so from what I've seen those models can fetch a bit more.

It's also a very kiwi thing to avoid a car with over 200,000kms because it will need some work done on it.

5k is about where we're thinking of pricing the sedan...

The gas thing makes me laugh. Most people spend less than $40 a week on gas. The difference between a 3 litre and the smaller engines is a few bucks a week. Unless you are flooring the car at the lights of course and if you are that juvenile then the difference is nil and the 3 litre blows the opposition away. The bigger engine is safer for over taking as well. I get asked quite often what mileage I get out of my V8's. It amuses me because I don't know anyone who buys V8's for fuel economy.

High Kms, non-msport, boring silver colour, auto. Price is about right I would say, lot of car for your money if it all checks out.

disa valve

diff hanger bush

subframe

control arm bushings

brakes

cam and crank sensors

MAF

airbag seat sensors

ABS sensors

o2 sensors

auto gearbox thumps (worn valve body)

central locking relays stop working with a hot car in the GM5 module

window relays wear out and actuator -> support carrier breaks

all things to have a look at on these. Great cars really though.

4.7 or near offer... Maybe get it for 4 :-)

Take it to Ray's and have him replace the slush box and add a pedal = desirable sporty coupe!

Its actually not badly equipped, Sport seats, suspension, steering wheel and final drive. Sucks they are advertising it with "nav" when itll be stuck in Japan.

Nice car for the money, but not worth much (if any) more. As said, could be had for less.

Can't say I've seen a 330 coupe this far from 10k before

4k would be a steal in my eyes seeing what 318i 323i coupes sell for

Quite honestly, I think a lot of people believe cars to be worth a lot more than they really are.

^ Is about what I think they're worth really. Granted it has no extras, but it's a 14 year old car that will need attention.

^ As opposed to this. Mate, you're f**kin' dreamin!

^ I nearly drowned on the coffee I was sipping on at the time (one of those awkward snort-laugh-involuntary inhale situations) when I saw this. Yeah, it's fairly rare - but $9500 for a car with over a quarter million km and a heap of dents because ya can't drive?!?!

The original car is probably a pretty good buy if you don't mind putting a few hours and new parts into it.
