topnotchrally 95 Report post Posted March 6, 2022 The 96 Byzanz Evo Sedan is back on TM. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3499675862 I nearly bought this car (from a private owner) for $23k two and a half years ago but, perhaps foolishly, felt that 200k km was too high for an investment car, little did I know... Anyway, this dealer bought it and put it up for sale for. $28k (IIRC) at that time. It has had some work done and some repainting, as it had some clear coat issues previously. A bit of an aside, this is 1 of 2 NZ New Evo sedans on TM without sunroofs. I don't understand why anyone would order a special car like this without a sunroof. I could have sworn the Byzanz was up for sale for $22k when Auckland was last in lockdown? I would have bitten their arm off at that price but it closed really quickly and Jacinda hadn't told us how long we needed to stay home and save lives for at that stage. That same CSL was advertised for $229k last Monday (I think) by what appeared to be a private seller but was ‘sold pending payment’ by the following evening. Presume the dealer snapped it up quick for $200kish and is happy to sit on it a while to find the right buyer. Looks like a stunning car! The car car currently on offer has less kms, than M3 CSL its a rerun I think from when Southern Speculators (😁) had both the black and silver cars earlier in the year..
