paulo 66 Report post Posted Thursday at 10:39 PM https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-5061297329.htm Looks like there's lots of matt black primer and an odd fitment / unpainted front bumper, but is described as having a "tidy exterior" maybe it's had a respray since photos taken? ... and what's going on with the exhaust?? Rear bumper is missing its lower valance, makes the "custom exhaust" look even weirder Thats the same car in those photos too I'd buy that for $20k in a heartbeat, but no way is it worth $35k in that state. Poor thing.
Kees 597 Report post Posted yesterday at 05:25 AM To add to it, this E39 M5 is a Singapore import.... What do we think it's realistically worth? Low 20s?
Kees 597 Report post Posted yesterday at 05:27 AM This is also quite amusing:

Low 20s? needs a lot of love. carbon black is a nice colour and it's unlikely to be as rusty as a UK import. I reckon $25-27k, maybe a bit more if it comes with some spares. dedoo7 3 Report post Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Not all E39 M5’s are created equal in this - todays market . When there are only circa 45 examples in nz , the condition and mileage are greatly varied . This one appears to be pretty rough and the seller isn’t doing it any favours by presenting it this way . The photos , car and write up are actually laughable . Edited 6 hours ago by dedoo7
ssbmw 222 Report post Posted 5 hours ago (edited) This car was a 1999 Singaporean import (as noted already) and was 2 out of 5 delivered there (we also have an Anthracite example in NZ that was sold earlier this year). So, the specs are slightly different—double-glazed windows, anthracite headlining, glass sunroof, and rear visor. However, it does not have a Satellite/ navigation screen. Has the long- deleted chrome gear shift (they deteriorated rapidly - clearly showing in a photo). I'm not sure why the photos and copy have been presented in such a way. Maybe the owner is not that motivated. Carbon black has to be photographed in better lighting to be presented properly. (Maybe $18k in this condition / mileage in 2012).
