Hi guys would anyone be able to recommend a good automotive electrical guy?

Just need a few wiring bits for components tested and maybe cut with the spare part and soldered up.

Thanks in advance :)

Hey - quick question,

My washer bottle is clogged up, and it's a real PITA to get to the bottle and pump screen.

Is there anything (liquid) I can put in the reservoir to unclog it?

There is, but without a through clean through the problem will likely recur.

Sorry. Put Saturday morning aside and get in there.

Yeah - this is the re-occur.

What would be the liquid you allude to?

I know a couple of guys in the UK used either a non-caustic sink and plughole unblocker, or a mild solution of drain cleaner. I do wonder where the solution that resulted went to - I can't believe they used it on the windscreen. Could even damage paintwork, perhaps?

I wouldn't bother - I'd take it apart and clean it out properly. That way you know it's done.

Thanks GJM - yea too risky on paint.

Another quick one....

I have projector fogs, but want to go back to OEM.

However the projectors are H3 and just a 'spade' terminal connection.

If I want stock (9006) - do I just use an adapter like this?

Can anyone tell me where the number 3 hose goes? Or where number 4 is? It's for an M50b25 e36.

What does it do? It seems like the previous owner has left this hose hanging on the side and is spitting oil every now and then. Thanks

Whereabouts? I can't seem to locate any unconnected hoses on the intake boot. That's where I was looking as I found a forum post that mentioned it but still couldn't find it...

Is it supposed to have oil? Whats the purpose of it?

Thanks for answering.

Despite it not being due for a service just yet, the fact I've never had it serviced means it needs one to give me peace of mind. As I've just sunk $600 into the tyres I'd like to wait a wee bit longer before taking it in. In the meantime is anyone able to enlighten me...

My 130 is doing two things:

- The idle is not rough, it's just not still, even with the AC off it's fluctuating about 100 revolutions up/down and this can be felt/heard, this is not just a morning thing, it's doing it all the time.

- Driving around 80 km/h when the car is very slowly increasing in speed in the 1800-2000 rev range it feels as if it's not steady, it's kind of softly lurching ahead every 2 seconds - not a constant or smooth increase, it's not bad, it's just noticeable.

Any ideas?

It needs to be scanned first before you do anything

As Glenn says. A scan is (in my mind) both a positive and a negative aspect of living with a modern car - the scan is necessary, but should reveal anything significant.

In the interest of more information, do you find the gear shift from 1->2 can be less smooth than other changes?
