  1. Ha! That or that E30 M3? Gee, let me think for a nano second.
  2. @NZ_InFerno, ageee about Singapore. Have experience with 3 cars from there, 2 were awful, the 3rd was actually near perfect, but the percentages don’t stack up. Never again.
  3. Could be anyone with a mortgage…
  4. I checked the plate through Carjam as hers had a personalised plate, not hers, although yours did have an interesting plate previously.
  5. A woman at work had a white one, spent $4,800 on fixing it (I said don't bother) and then about 8-9 months later, got another bill for ~$2k. She then sold it. Looks like a fun project once it's finished.
  6. Wonder if they actually have the code for the stereo?

    E30 M325i

Happily sitting in my dads garage, having just had a new(er) LSD fitted.

Don’t they all have black headliners if they are m325is? Or am I misunderstanding your question?
  9. They have pumps and complete racks on there for €450-600 plus shipping. No idea if the parts numbers are correct, but worth a look if you get stuck.
  10. https://spareto.com/products/bmw-repair-set-sensor/32106769232 I’ll admit I’m a bit confused, is this what you’re after?
  11. Mine went up 15%, in laws went up 39%.

I’d be a happy man with that in that colour sitting in the garage for weekends.

The Ebbett Skoda site does mention that. ^^^

Far out. My natural suspicion of VAG products remains, pity because I thought Skoda had somehow avoided it. Sorry to hear.

    Shkoda

Are you saying you’ve spent $4.5k on it since you’ve owned it? On what?

Does the CGA apply? Normal life of a water pump is more than 2 years….

Good grief. Given the typical parts mark up, that’s probably still a profit to them.
  18. I used a company in New Lynn to do 4 wheels, they were helpful and cheap. https://www.powdercoatingfactory.co.nz/index.html
  19. I know, that’s why I try and give the current petrol one a motorway run regularly.
  20. She has walked it a few times, but Auckland weather in winter….especially this year. Plus I develop gorse pocket syndrome every time I see the price of one.
  21. Thinking of changing a car, maybe to a 1 or 3 series diesel. But, it will only do short trips, like 2km each way. Plan is that it gets a scheduled motorway or longer run every two weeks. Am I asking for trouble?

    Quick rant thread.

And fixing the roads and roadscape. It’s amazing how many roads have power poles or large boulders (King Country especially) only a few feet or less off the driving line. There’s no leeway.
  23. https://www.hgperformance.co/blog/bmw-rod-bearings-their-maintenance/#:~:text=BMW Rod Bearing Maintenance&text=The original rod bearings should, for a high-performing vehicle. Found the answer, a new bearing design from 2011 on and these guys reckon their solution is permanent.
