I see this car quite often on my morning runs with my two dogs, always love the exhaust note on the shifts.

An enthusiast thankfully, his family have had a few M cars. His current car was/is a E34 M5, and his old man has an E60 M5. So now they have three generations in the family haha.

It's finally back together after a year on jack stands and is looking pretty tuff, I have done a fair bit of maintenance (off the top of my head): Rebuilt the Motor with OEM spec parts - It already makes enough power so there was no need to increase fuel consumption and reduce reliability with go fast bits. Rebuilt Front Calipers Straightened the wheel base (it was 1cm shorter on the LHS previously which caused a heap of problems) Replaced front cross-member and added metal to where it should mount (it had rusted away) Replaced Engine/Gearbox/Diff/Brake/Clutch/Power Steering Oil Replaced Front and Rear rotors Fitted Z3M Diff cover Fitted light weight flywheel and replaced pressure plate etc. Fitted headlights (looks far less like a bastard child) Fitted bonnet vent (engine bay was getting over pressurized causing the bonnet to lift) Painted odd bits such as the front bumper Urethaned the engine and shifter mounts Moved the engine back slightly. Given everything a thorough clean There are still a few loose ends to tie up but for the most part its ready to race in the north island enduro's this winter. In the coming weeks the car will be sporting a bimmersport livery on part of the car

You'd be better off buying a 320d the 320d will get half of that economy and probably be twice as fast. Just get a good NZ New one.

I took both covers off the donor M60b40. Both have small defects, not major, but I will wait to pull the ones off my M60b30, and I might do those if they are better. But yeah, I think powdercoating is the go. I have used HPC before and they are good, just not cheap. The blokes up in Henderson, didn't know what a valve cover was, but they are cheap.

I'll help with a 1UZ-E92 swap if you like? Will be a bit grandpa spec performance wise though unless we put a dirty great twin screw supercharger on.

Actually talking to a company now is Australia that do a E34 27mm adjustable bar for $250, just to need to see shipping costs going to be. If i can keep in under 400 it could be worth it.

Thought about other possible enignes? engine swap? If what every one says is true, y replace it with one that could possibly have the same issue 20kms down the road? m5 engines are better and way cooler..... do it! ... Also do you need the car? could you take time and rebuild it yourself and make it better?

Divide that price by 1/2 and then we might have a deal.

This forum is to discuss other's Trademe listings - however all of these cars are yours so should be posted in the For Sale section. They're all way overpriced as well.

Try just across the shore under the bridge there is a nice spot with the city in the background. Can get some good shots with the right flash and a tripod on long exposure to get the city lights

Spotted this good-looking E34 525i Touring in Orakei tonight: Seems to be pretty well taken care of - CarJam has some photos of it in mint condition, presumably from when it last changed hands on TM.
