4 pointsWhen you put a wanted topic on a car forum and a member PM's you a month later with details of a guy who might be selling and you go and see him and make an offer and get a cool car for good money. So much nicer than dealing with Trade-Me etc.

2 pointsHi All, I am a new member in this forum and I have just bought my 2008 335i E91 Msports with super low ks 28000k . I have just remapped the ECU, 42kw, 85nm gains though the remapped. I need some advices from you guys about what some other basic modifications could be done to make it a bit faster:) JB4 is mentioned so many times, can someone explain to me why so many people are using it and where to order and who can get it installed. i am thinking to get a FMIC , any brand to recommend and where to get it and is there a place you guys could recommend to get it installed. Sorry for throwing so many newbie questions to you guys ! Much appreciated your help! I will post up some photos of my car when the weather is good:) Many thanks

2 pointsHey folks, Just thought I'd leave this here... Made this clock for my Dads birthday today, first attempt at one and first attempt at engraving. I think my engraving needs some work and for the next one I think I'll find a different clock insert as this one needs to be removed from the bearing cups to change the battery/time. The paint was supposed to be stainless steel but i could have just bought a can of silver for half the price... maybe I'll do satin black next. I also toyed with a style using just the rod, minus the piston. Cheers!

2 pointsNope you took this way out of context or totally missed the prior argument. I was directly talking about this topic regarding the protest against this festival. Protesting against China from the western world is laughable as others have also mentioned. China is well aware of what is going on in their country. It is kinda a big part of how Communism works.
-
2 pointsIt's all well and good to complain about something thats going on in another country on the other side of the world. Yet generaly the people who are signing these petitions or starting them are still buying good ole Farmer Brown eggs because they're $3 cheaper than Free Range or buying that yummy Pork thats on special without a thought to how these are farmed in our own back yards. As to the capturing of pets. How do you know a dog is a pet when it has no collar and is left to wander around the village at free will and basically has to fend for itself. What defines a animal thats left to free range as a pet? Sorry, but these kind of petitions serve no purpose except to make the people who sign it feel good about themselves for a moment. The Chinese Government has absolutely no regard for what you or I think and they're most certainly not going to take any notice of a petitions signed by a bunch of foreigners. Why would they? They have no regard for what their own citizens think! If you want my signature start a petition to completely stop Battery Farming Chickens or one to stop the factory farming of Pigs in New Zealand. Lets clean up our own backyard before we start pissing in someone elses.

1 pointWelcome. First thing I would be doing is a LSD. Power is useless if you can't put it down.

1 pointI had trouble finding a 2.5 to swap into mine, too, but found one in the end. If it makes any difference, the B25 has all sorts more torque than my old B20 below 4K rpm. Motronic is a much more modern fuel injection system too.

1 pointI've had stuff with USPS disappear for two weeks at the same step in the process as you describe. They're just really hopeless. If it doesn't appear, you'll need to get Pelican Parts to follow up with USPS.
-
1 pointyep give it another week before getting too serious, I often get the parcel a day or two before it registers on USPS website so its a bit delayed. i would say you will be getting a bill in the mail 1 week = 2 days processing, couple of days to prepare an invoice, couple of days invoice in the post.... and to top it off NZ post only deliver 3 days a week now too the customer service person is just reading from their manual, what he/she is saying is most often not the case. Customs arent a freight company and dont have scan tools to integrate into tracking system of every single freight company in the world.
-
1 pointSometimes you just need to wait. I have had packages turn up from the states 2 weeks after it said they arrived here. Pelican are the ones that will need to chase it through USPS though. If you try USPS will tell you to contact the sending of the package.

1 pointCongrats on the buy! Can't wait to see pics It really depends on what you are aiming for with your car , Basically you want to get to FBO (full bolt on) (http://blog.modbargains.com/5-ways-to-full-bolt-ons-for-bmw-n54/) Kinda curious on this remap , what are you using?
-
1 pointboth the B23 and B25 have no balls below 4000rpm so thats not a reason to rule a b23 out
-
1 pointPretty sure the 2.3 was only available with L-jet injection, whereas the 2.5 is the Motronic. So if you are swapping a 2.3 into your 325i it might make things a little bit more interesting in terms of getting everything hooked up and working. Some early 2.3s would also have things like the extra "cold start" injector in the inlet manifold, so you might well require the loom and ECU, etc to go with it and make it work properly, then there is the crank sensors and where they are, etc.... You might be able to bolt the Motronic bits, inlet manifold, from the 2.5 onto the 2.3 to make it work?? 2.5 definitely has a bit more power, 171hp v 150hp as standard figures. Don't know on the torque figures, sorry. 2.5s do come up now and again, and I would say it is worth trying to get one for the reasons above.
-
1 pointMight be the same crowd Graham, they are listed as "sstuningparts" on eBay in the Uk. And yes, you are right it is the postal / courier people that usually screw things up! This time I have a tracking number that I will be watching like a hawk so I can keep a closer eye on NZ Post after their previous efforts.

1 pointYou can get the correct ones from here http://store.garagistic.com/ocart/odometer-gears/e30-odometer-repair , just have to select the ones specific to your type and i think shipping is reasonable.
