Drove my E38 to Tauranga, currently here, on the back of Rivesdale (40 mins out of Masterton on the coast ) and back to wellington over new year, and ECC meet and back last month, Also run to auckland and back some stage this week done over 2500km in it in the last month, 3000 by the time i get back. Such a nice car to drive! Scruffy around the edges etc but runs and drives well. Definately recommend looking at an E38 or E39 if you want a cheap hack, they are the ideal car for a BMW enthusiest, basic engines for self servicing, while also having the luxuries you need and want without over complicating things

Been very busy today with my mate in getting the shocks refreshed. Wanted to go the CSL shocks route but decided against it. Introducing Sachs Performance dampers and springs: The springs are actually Eibach springs with Sachs Part Number on it and seems to lower the car by 15mm Had the front sway bar links changed at the same time so will get some new rear tyres and then get the car aligned properly. Next on the list is the front control arms and tie rods and then off to ray to get the rear end bushes refreshed and reinforcement plates welded on! Hopefully by then my wallet wont cry as much

It's only long for the illiterate folk Graham and it does make a good read. A salient quote...

So last couple of days had a bit of rough running, figgering it was a coil, but was intermittent . So scanner on, cyc 7 injector issue. Checked coil and changed it over to double check, no change, so not coils. Bit of Google help and checked the wiring into the injectors first, bingo, one of the plastic connectors into the top of the injector on 7 got brittle and the right wire was bouncing in and out, easy fix, back running sweet :)

C63 eats rears like crazy. Work wheels deserve PSS. They are the benchmark and OEM choice.

This is quite long, but worth a read: http://revenueraiserresistance.com/camera-swindle/ It backs up research done at the TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) in the UK, and several locations in the US. I doubt it'll make any difference, but it is staggering to learn authorities are forecasting revenue from speeding fines and incorporating them in future budgetary projections! Can't let the real world get in the way of revenue raising, eh?

Haha I'm thinking so!So today was another day of playing bmws in the scortching south island heat. Touring2.0 got a centre arm rest installed this morning followed by an upgrade of the basic 8 button Obc for a 18 button. Was pretty straight forward as I remembered it, but had to run a new cable out to the temp sensor since it didn't have one before. All works well apart from the range feature, but is always inaccurate so doesn't really bother me. Also went to fit a tech2 m sport wheel while it was off but it's a non airbag one and couldn't be bother messing around with it so jus the standard sport one went back on. And pics after lows fitted. Still need to sort my other wheels out for it to, ether the acs rensports or the Mcoupe roadstars

Just watched the vid, nicely shot and different models explained. Yep I miss the rawness of my E46M3 and funny me mentioned that the E92 feels slow. I thought the same thing.
