Yeah asking $12k. However, looks like its done very minimal mileage over the last 5+ years, so I guess it would have just had minimal maintenance. Will probably be fine, but I'm fussy and I'd end up spending quite a lot on it. As such, $12k investment + $5k spend makes a $17k+ 300,000km E30...

you guys commentating on the price and comparing it to other cars.. not one of the cars you have listed is immune from depreciation, where as the one in the link has already hit the bottom and is on the way back up

Could be interested... When you say "steering lock seized" do you mean it's locked per normal but the key won't release it? Also "doesn't maintain idle well" means it just hunts or actually stalls? Feel free to PM if you prefer.

Armrests suck also in the e36. Glad my car came without, as the Germans intended. And with two hands on the wheel WTF is the armrest actually for? Traffic lights? Use your lap.

I'm not sure they thought you were stupid. Based on the photographic evidence provided I think they thought the tech's were doing it wrong. And to be fair a different photo, one of the actual checking, to accompany the text might have lead to a different conclusion. But sure, assumptions are...

Worth it for an E30 M325i especially if it's original. But 12k = one E39 540i with some spare cash as well.

wonder how the owner stayed 70yo for 12 years. anyway the car looks mint considering the 300k kms... the price is pretty crazy really if you think about it, 12k could get you a mint e46 330 or a pretty decent 325i e90

obviously they will be captive with the car sitting static on them. car needs to be in the air with the wheels hanging freely. they come loose when driving as the car goes over bumps in the road etc and the shock extends. the must be captive at full wheel extension.

Looks mint and pretty original minus the steering wheel. Hopefully, it goes to a forum member and not to the 'dapper' crowd.

Just did some more testing. With a spark plug hooked up to the coil lead, there is no spark, except for when I turn the key off, it does a quick one. The crank angle sensor only has 5v on the bottom pin (black wire) when unplugged, when it is replugged, there is 0.1v and no signal. ICV has started working again. Thinking I might jump a pin off the AFM or something that has 5v to the crank sensor and see if that helps.

To be honest, given the opinions of many on how "horrid" and stupid tyre lettering looked, I didn't even think people would ask how I did it, once I had done it! Other forums, not this one - you're all a lovely bunch on here Grout pen worked okay.. Whether it lasts is another story. I shall update as time goes on
