so its an unravelling thread because your point of view is not agreed with?. You say its logical that the e39 is the "better car" Define better. For me the e34 is a better car. There are subjective and personal choices when making a car purchase. So my view that an e34 is the better car has just as much validity as your claim that the e39 is the choice.

Interesting piece of local BMW history ... "This was once the BMW NZ director’s company car and .... was sold new for nearly $200k to BMW New Ze3aland Management and we have original invoice of purchase price and original manuals with service history." $20K with 167Kms on it... very well spec'ed. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1156064998.htm

Hi guys, After hunting around for a nice E46 M3 for quite a while I finally found one worth taking up. Usually I buy my cars in original condition so I can do my own thing to them but I feel this one was worthy of an exception. This used to be Charl's M3 as some of you will know (not sure if he's a member or not). The interior colour scheme isn't exactly my first choice but it's actually growing on me! I'll add some of my own photos this week but will post a few below. Details: -2002 Factory Manual -145,000km -19x10 / 19x9" 3-Piece Work VS -BC Gold Coilovers -CSL Genuine Carbon Fiber Boot -Carbon Fiber Front and Rear Splitters -AFe Air Intake -Agency Power Exhaust -New Clutch -New Rotors/Pads

Dont use a single piece drive shaft bro, after speaking to the guy at ANL you get lots of vibration from them and you loose a lot of strength so have to use a larger diameter pipe to get the same strength and stop the sagging. But if you want to go that way go and speak to ANL and have it custom made

My sister had a goat that would butt at it's own reflection. Cost me (and others!) a door skin until I learned to drive through all the dirty puddles on the way to see her.

Yeah hes a payne in the ass, anyone want a goat... stands on bonnets and chases people i'm sure he'd make a good stew for the right person

E34 are going up in value and wagons are always going to cost more than a sedan. I think its a fair price considering what been done to it. Yep especially when it comes to suspension.

Personally, I prefer the look of the E34, too. And (I think) it will be a simpler car meaning hopefully lower maintenance costs.

Well this is a pretty close call.... I'm leaning towards the E34 based on the look and lower Milage, and it's had every mod I'd want to do done I think. Price is still on the high side.... watch this space

Updated guys This cert process end up being a lot more painful than it needed to be. I was asked at the last coffee meet "if the novelty of the new seats had worn off" my reply was no But after the last 3 weeks or so I was at the stage where I couldn't pull out of the install because of the time and money invested. And I was contemplating becoming a criminal and driving around in a uncertified car. Thank heavens that didn't happen

your offspring grow up fast - it's good you're there for them when it counts. our no. 1 son just entered his teens, I can't beleive how quickly that's happened. good to observe you've not given up on your 5er, and know it will be there when you have some spare $$. Looks superb!
