1 pointHi All, I have finally decided that I am looking to put this on the market, with plans to go to an E92 335i I feel I can't really own two hefty cars (although I'd love to). It's a great car, Drives extremely well and has been very reliable. It is quick as you can imagine, Breaking traction very easy at WOT. I have taken this on long drives across the country and it is an awesome car to drive. It's an 1989 320i NZ New Touring. LVV Certified, WOF and Rego. All parts are near new and have been installed since 5000kms done since the swap. Drivetrain: Engine: 2003' S54b32, At approx 110,000kms. Diff 3.73 LSD, Completely rebuilt by Kayne Barry Motorsport. 4x new clutches (~40% lock). Z3M coupe 3 core radiator, 16" thermo switch controlled fan. AFE Stage 2 air intake, custom Fiberglass airbox E30 S54 Ergen Motorsport Headers, Exhaust system runs from headers twin 2.5" stainless to behind the gearbox, then merges into a 3" Stainless system with Vibrant Resnator and Borla rear muffler. Aftermarket oil cooler mounted behind the front grills Walbro 255lph fuel pump, New fuel lines throughout, with new E46 M3 external 5bar FPR mounted in the engine bay. Steering and Suspension; Z3 Steering rack, New tie rod arms XYZ Coil over suspension, 450/670 spring rates Rear Powerflex trailarm bushes, Subframe mounts New rear handbrake shoes New rear UUC OEM E30 brakes, Hawk Pads UUC E30 BBK in the front, 300mm rotors, Hawk pads Braided brake lines Body and interior; Lachsilber original paint, cleans up very well but has some small dings and scratches, notable the front and rear bumpers have some scuffing and paint damage. Genuine Mtech 2 kit Recaro cloth interior Illuminated 6 speed M shifter, E36 Window switches M Sport button Genuine 16' ACS Wheels I'm going to start quite high, I really can't put a price on all the money I've put into this and the list above is no way near complete. I have tonnes of receipts totaling stupid amounts of money for the swap. If you are serious, flick me a PM and we can talk. 25k ono, to get the ball rolling. And yes I'm asking 'e46 m3' money, but this E30 is something else

1 pointWent halves with Jooles in a 96 323i coupe on the weekend. Paid $400 for it and was able to drive it home. ? Registered until the end of October and the wof ran out last Thursday. The po installed a new radiator and thermostat, but skimped on a flush so one of the first jobs is to drain and flush out the poo water. Plan is to fix some engine problems, Manual swap, suspension and brake restoration, then enter it in the 2kcup series and have some fun. Scanned the dme, cleared the fault memory and these returned after a drive. -Vanos jammed -CPS -Bank 1 and 2 fuel trim limits. To be continued..

1 pointMy e36 coupe had a similar mishap, was insured for 2.7K, my panelbeater asked if I wanted to write it off or save it because it could go either way!! I decided to save it.

1 pointI couldn't bear it any longer. I've just sent them a message with a realistic price range.

1 pointThe word from the assessor is back - "Fix it". Actually, I doubt he said that, but that's the short version. So the back will be sorted, and I'll have the rear arches re-shaped and sorted as best they can readily be. I'll do the fronts myself - they're nowhere near as bad in terms of shape, and represent a slightly simpler clean, rust kill and paint job.

1 pointAfter redoing the cooling system on both e46's a few weeks back (radiators/expansion tanks/thermostats/waterpumps etc) I tested both cars for leaks on Sunday and both passed perfect. I then installed new bmw coolant (thanks Glenn) and distilled water into the red e46. The engine block drain plug is hard to get to but I managed it. Babara will get her coolant done this weekend.

1 pointFront shocks were new-ish Monroe Reflex's, maybe 30,000k's on them, rears looked like original MS items, it is a todo to get new MS shocks on it, but it's way down the line as it feels okay for the moment.

1 pointHi guys, new to Bimmersport and keen to meet other BMW owners. This is my 335i E91. Not alot planned at this stage other than wrapping the roof black and adding some black M3 Limited Edition 500 wheels. Will post some pics once it's done. I am also looking forward to coming along to some of the meets/cruises! Hope to catch you soon!

1 pointBrake lines all replaced with new rubber lines, that fixed my fade issue funnily enough, and managed to pass the WoF. Hawk HPS pads also showed up, so put those on also along with new front rotors. Seem to stop faster, but will wait for things to wear in properly. Put it all together, and took her in for the cert recheck, and I've passed. So now to wait a couple of weeks for the actual plate to show up. The whole process took longer than I hoped, but about what I expected. I think the main reason why things took a bit longer would be waiting for one part to be complete before moving onto the next for things like the driveshaft and exhaust. Then finding out about the brakes and waiting for parts to show up. Now to replace the fuse box, and the heater core.

1 pointAgree the E39 is a classic now and likely to appreciate. Should have bought my friend's Avus Blue when he was selling it. He put up some artistic but not very useful pictures on TM and it took a while to sell! I drove an E55 from Euroland before buying my 545i - the supercharger whine is great and the power awesome - but the interior does not feel as modern as an E60 and the 'Mr Sensible' side of me decided <half the price and 245KW would be sufficient. Personally I like the overall aesthetic of the E60 whether in highline, MSport or M configuration - E55s I am partial to in white or black but not so fond of silver. Still hanker to add 'owned a mental vehicle with supercar performance' to the job done list But after burning wads of cash on sorting my 2 current BMWs I'm a bit chicken about AMG/M ..... Must be time to organize another Welly coffee catch up.
