Hi guys, Been a member for a a year or so now but I have only been on as often as Trump cares for the American people.. F*** all. My wife has a e39 528I and ive just got into a sweet little e30 316i. I am the fourth owner I think. I picked it up through work where it was sold brand new. (Team Mcmillan BMW) The original owner who brought it kept it from new until 2012 where it was sold to one of the techs then to another tech a few years later and a few more years after that to me, another bloodie tech. It is bone stock. I would love to how ever maybe manual convert it if I can get a full manual conversion at a decent price. Anyways here it is, no more woffles from me. James.

Just bad timing would loved to have helped just my work load and developing my own NZ made turbo is consuming any spare time, im even paying people to finish my own toys as i dont have time. I can assure you no one can bet my pricing even when i use OEM components.

My favorite color on the E30, nice ride Towbar is optimistic for a 316 though? Even a bike hanging on the back of that thing would hurt your chances of getting highway speed

Great engines, not many car engines in 1998 that made 400nm @ 1300rpm thanks to it's vanos system. It's not a case of lottery, it's a case of having the funds available when the chain guides start breaking off and falling down in to the sump. I found a piece of guide in the cylinder head, next to one of the cams of my old 540i when they let go. If you plan on keeping the car for a long time, do the guides and cooling system, then imo you're good for another 200+ k kms engine wise.

I have an upgraded intercooler and chargepipe and run the stage1 plus 95 tune. It's a big difference. Your next purchase should be a limited slip differential. The tune really exposes how easy it is to break traction with the extra torque.

Before I bought my X5 and M5 I toyed with getting one of these for a bit of variety. There was a silver one with much higher KMs for $10K then $8K - sitting for ages at the Trade-In Clearance Center in Welly. It had a yuk blue interior though and was nowhere near as tidy as this one. I don't think the woodgrain is faded - that's just the colour - but I way prefer the interior in this to the one I looked at. What can I say, I like contrast interiors! This does look to be in fantastic condition so for an AMG/Merc enthusiast I think this would be a good deal.

Burgundy Model S Tesla getting hauled out of the ditch this morning just south of Mercer. Ludicrous speed might have been a tad much.

Hey Michael The guys at Hartley engines and motorsport. Nelson is the CNC guru, he's putting a lot of time and effort into making some off the self intakes for this motor as he wanting to start selling them on a big scale, check out their F.B page if you want to see one made up. Bloody bootyful piece of work.

Cool machine, but like most E34s little rough around the edges.

H h h h hi all . . . . my name is Wessel. I have a serious Beamer problem, not an addiction. Its only an addiction if you want to stop but can't AND I DON"T WANT TO STOP!!!! Just wanted to introduce my self. Buying my first BMW in New Zealand tomorrow (2003 e46 330Ci) will give it a clean and post some proper pics tomorrow. My wish list would be e60 M5 (got to love that 10) and e46 m3. Cheers.

Schmiedmann should have all those parts - just plug the part numbers into their search box. Shipping from Europe is not too bad on small/light parts, and no VAT or GST if the order is under ~ $400 IIRC

Disclaimer, I sold my W211 E55 for an M5, so read into that what you like

Your mind seems to be in Toyota Corolla mode. You have to consider that these cars in their day were considered sophisticated and high performance. Expensive repair bills and high performance cars are synonymous and often the purchase price on one of these cars is the cheapest part about them.

I thought of it as tacky/kitsch more so than boring. In a BMW, the woodtrim looks classy, if not to my taste. In this, it looks like something out of a porno movie set from the 70s.

Are you actually garage-less, or do you, like me, have a large garage-shaped storage space?

    its so boring!

I wonder how much an NZ New '99 M5 with 28km would be? Closer to $50k than $15k I reckon.
  24. 1 point
Not even close. Rather crawl over glass for an M5 rather than one of these.

That is cool Nicely presented - but could have done with a vacuum eh! Should have a black stereo in it too methinks.
