Hey Team So did another big one dayer on Saturday. Drive started at 2am in the morning and didn't end till 8pm that night. But good day as i purchased more goodies for the projects. Went to pick a part 1st in Avondale and scored some bumper bracket, always breaking these bits. Then onto HellBM finally nice to meet Ray, awesome bloke. Purchased the manual pedal box off him, also showed me around the work shop and his secret stash of projects. Man he's some awesome project going on. SO JEALOUS! Then onto Brent at BM world he had the big ticket item that was the main reason for the trip. Purchased the 4.4lt non vanos m62 off him, also manual shifter surround, both in black and tan colour. Clutch line and a tuned chip that has a m62 tune done by gavin on it, hopefully this will help it run smoother for a bit till i get it tuned properly. He also threw in a free ash tray. So next few weekends will be dismantling the motor and swapping heads, here the fun begins Oh and a change of plans now. Im going to keep the touring as standard auto, as its such a low mileage motor be a shame to hack it up. so im going to convert the sedan to manual now as it will be my daily and i'd rather have a stick than auto as a daily and auto as a cruiser.

Front suspension went in today, no big dramas. Holy crap it feels good! The increased castor really transforms the feel of the car, also the whole car doesn't rock when I get in it! Need an alignment and still need to swap the rear ARB for the M3 one but waiting on bushes for that. No legs... New legs...

e60: Yesterday morning I visited Bridgestone Torrens Terrace, where Kelvin changed over my cracked rim for a 'whole' one, and rebalanced. just two 10g weights (one inner, one outer); those RE003's balance easily. I then delivered the car to the panel beaters, for the bumper "kiss" some sheisskopf left me a couple of months back (without leaving a note) to be repaired and repainted. Onwards and upwards!

Indeed, your Dad was scoping mine on Friday, asking about clearance/rubbing... ? I'm biased of couse! I think they're a great match on the e46; aesthetically they look good, and technically there's no rubbing/clearance issues, 20mm wider track across the rear axle (over style 68 staggered), and half inch wider rim on the front. Of course, lows may be a different game!

Decided to join the #style194gang @Olaf and took some quick photos.

Yesterday I collected my new-to-me Style 123 rims (thanks @Family Wagon), and drove back down the island. I'm certain my M54 needs VANOS seals. It's running much better for a good run, though is lacking torque. Today I spent a couple of hours cleaning the Style 123's for the e60. Several repeat-and-rinse jobs (on the inside) to remove built-up brake dust. I pryed off old balancing weights, and used a scraper to remove old adhesive remnants.

I remember this when it was for sale in Grafton Gully......I used to drive past and think one day......

get it checked bm workshop or eurosurgeon etc have replacement engines if needed even a 12,000km one

Well well well. There it is, my baby. I did 60,000 kms in this beauty in its first four years so it’s been pretty quiet since. Exhaust tips - Genuine AC Schnitzer purchased from the late great Jason Richards - sets the car apart from all others. Eyelids - personal preference I guess but looked the business 20 years ago. Carbon decals - ??? Genuine carbon fibre centre console purchased from JR again. Electric rear windows - these are a must as almost impossible unless you are a contortionist midget to open those rear windows. Genuine AC Schnitzer rear window spoiler, also purchased from JR - at least you got that right. This car was/is the sh*t! Loved every minute of the four years I owned it Has been very quiet since then though. 36 minutes Whangarei to Warkworth and 2 hours 29 minutes Whangarei to Tirau back in the day. Superb machine. 10 litres per 100 kms at 160 kmh. Very very tempted. You never know. Shuey.
