I’ll be formatting this post later and adding photos.... Date: 25 Nov 2019 Distance: 260740kms 1. Tested stereo with USB stick and .WAV files - works fine. ? First up: a blast from the 80's: Love, by The Cult. Playing 'Rain' by The Cult, from USB stick. 2. Replaced Clutch master cylinder and feedlines, bled clutch. It's now super-smooth, sweet and light. Not expecting a clutch failure now! Shiny new (Febi) Clutch Master Cylinder featured. 3. Reset Service Indicator (first green LED is faulty) 4. Replaced missing water pump bolt (Jon spotted that last time it was in). 5. Drained gearbox oil, mixed in 25mls of MBL8, refilled. (this oil is the Penrite Full Synthetic that was installed earlier this year. It's nice and clear. Gearbox is smoother. 6. Checked exhaust hangers. Will replace after Christmas. 7. Inspected and pressure tested cooling system. Found leaking heater matrix. Replaced heater matrix with good used Behr OE item, pressure tested and bled system. My e30 bleeds blue! Genuine BMW coolant sopped up by rags. 30 year old Behr Heater Radiator during removal. 8. Lubed antenna Auto 38 in Newtown, *THE* place to go for top quality servicing on your BMW. Thats it for me, the other stuff can wait. A clean and wax is all that’s left before e30 Mega Meet. And a bit of duct tape to secure that drip-rail trim ?. Maybe if I get excited, clean up the HT lead connections. My lesson is that I should have assumed the heater matrix would need replacing, given I'd already replaced the rad, thermostat & housing, all the hoses. I'll order a water pump, and a matrix for future use.

The rear quarter and back end of the e60 is a bit slab sided but overall i think it's a good looking car. All BMWs have something in the styling that I don't like.

Hey Team small update. Nice sunny day for a photo. so finally got these Hamann custom 3 piece wheels ready to piece back together. sent it away to get dustless blasted as i just didnt have time to use my small sand blaster. so spent yesterday and today cleaning, polishing and painting the wheel barrels, also had the centres powder coated. Will assemble next weekend to allow paint to cure.

Hey Team So finally got the car back last Saturday from auto sparky, I knew this was the issue the day after i dropped it off. I completely forgot to add the postive wire from brake switch to the ews box. I told him to do this and it fired up. But while it was there he wired up the electric water pump and a few other little things. Over the last two weeks ive pretty much got it 98% of being completed. got the front m3 brakes all on now. Spent the most of yesterday making this Air box with Juvy. ( Him making it, me watching) So will need to take the whole car to an engineers to help fab up the intake and route it to the air box. Had to put these wheels on as the 19's tyres were rubbing on the rears. And lastly fitted to this new solid mount shifter i brought from bmspeedshop local company in NZ. So car is driveable and man shes quick, 1st and 2nd are o.k but 3rd is where it hits. also finally managed to get a stationary sound clip. The ticking sound is the dry sump pump which goes away after a few mins and the noise was 10 x lounder than the video. Enjoy team

Well spotted but you should see what they are worth now! Almost worth taking off and selling separately, they're worth mega-bucks and the ones that match the motorsport skirts are NLA.

I guess that means it sold, for somewhere near the asking price. Wow, the value of my stash just went up (again), sometimes it’s good to be a hoarder!!

Thinking of just debadging it altogether. If it ever gets to the point where the whole car goes for a respray, I'd probably get rid of the emblems as well

Cheers @WYZEUP! You were a help re cert process a couple months back when I messaged you. Still have the WOF to get when the cert plate arrives, and one of the things I failed a WOF on was headlight direction. Thought I'd show a wee before and after/how-to on the process. Firstly, remove the 2 screw from the grille along with the 3 clips on top. Then I removed the 3 screws holding the headlight assembly to the car, along with the 3 very brittle plugs at the rear. You'll be left with something very mad max looking after you also remove the clips from the kidneys. My WOF guy didn't want to touch the headlight adjusters as they were seized up and didn't want to risk breaking them. A couple squirts of silicone penetrant and a wriggle of the adjuster with pliers on the metal free'd them up good as gold. Also took off the headlight metal surrounds to remove the light surface rust and give them a quick paint. Only paint I had lying around was Arctissilber from the E36 ? But it actually looks really nice. Job done. Had a quick line up of the headlights on the garage door but now that the adjusters move freely under finger tips, I'll let him use his reflector to dial it in. A keen eye will notice I've removed the IS lip. This lip is less prone to driveway scrapes when toing and froing from WOF/CERT etc.

Have you been denied a WoF? If not I'd try and get one, my tow hooks (F/R) have never been inspected during a warrant. I'm pretty sure they'd never even know where to look. And heck, given every towie will throw chains around your control arms anyway, who needs a tow hook!?!?

Some pretty awesome E30 projects in the build at the moment, and awesome to see so many away from the usual M52 swap now better engines are coming down in price
