Sure there are many solvents that are worth a shot. If the dip has been put on thick it should peel off fairly easy once you get under it taking the spray paint with it. I've used D-Limonene and a 3000psi water blaster to remove dip in the past.

I had my ecu coded aswell. Still no fix. I will hopefully get around to doing it in the next few weeks. Super busy atm. Will let you know my findings.

Model code from the VIN is KS42, which is a normal xDrive30d, not a Blue Performance version. Interstingly the car is listed (and registered) as a 35d, which it's not - first picture on the listing is the xDrive30d badge on the side. That, plus 2* trader with a $1 reserve auction smells a bit fishy to me.

I reckon the first two bidders are shills.

Will be watching this with interest. Gotta love the low-baller “$18K cash?” - what else were you expecting to pay with? Diamonds? Gold bullion? Surely this will go For sub-30K right now at $1 reserve?

Lol, I only skim read the listing before, but now i've had a better look, good fricken luck. Fully repainted in the Factory colour. Fully debadged (A factory option at the time at a cost of 5K). So clearly they just bogged in the badge recesses when repainting the car. Why spin that story about it being a factory option? Huge Sound system. I particularly like the half arsed install in the boot, with bits hanging by their wires and a repco sub box held in with some metal strapping from bunnings. My last E36 had a "huge sound system" and that was actually a damn good build (but ugly and heavy). From its unique new colour job, to being fully debadged, to its heated Mspec interior and exterior items, Nobody else will have one like it, No, I can assure you that no one will have one like it, unless they too grab bits from other cars and make their own spec. Hes spinning a story to try and justify the huge cost, yet none of his tales add up.

Gave the 140 a retune and an AFE filter to extract some more power. Xtra quick trip to the Supermarket. Also gave me a chance to have a play with the just released MSS6X Flasher. Gave it a big tick.
