    I'd value it at 7-7.5K if it was certed ($900 but should fly through) - but then I am always looking for a bargain that I couldnt do myself for cheaper. If I were to put any $ value on my time it would be worth way more. Its certtainly a nice build especially with the front end and its mostly documented on his youtube channel too https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEHX-qg0jmNHB-aanqbMLdw/videos You coudnt ask for more when it comes to knowing what you are getting I'd probably stick a 325ti front swaytbar in it and a 330i muffler with exhaust valve delete but would have to see how it is with the one he has in it first .

    Pass it through the vin process and see what pops up. Will be a few hundred. Might even pass. Buyers will try to use this to low ball you. Unless there is something seriously wrong with the vehicle it's not that bad or expensive.

    Took it to Mint Motors besides Russel’s driveshaft rebuild shop. They said driveshaft seems fine. The clunking/ rattling sound is coming from diff? Any suggestion who repairs differential?

    Well ballpark if it was registered would be around the 15k mark. The rust, while a concern doesn't seem to be too bad in the scheme of things. And the faults you've listed sounds like just some general e30 love is required. I must admit I am keen on the rear seats.

    Asking $8000 Located in Wellington 2000 540i E39 232500km Bluetooth and hands free installed via a GROM unit. This also has the USB charging port in the glove box. Modlight2 module installed giving remote mirror folding, 3click courtesy indicators and follow me home lights upon locking and unlocking. New DUNLOP sport MAXX tyres all around (done 1500km maybe) 235/45/17 and 255/40/17 New Din 88 Battery (1000km ago) Rear end bushing and arm refresh recently done New rotors all round. New thrust arms & bushings. New headlight adjusters Diff oil just done. 35% 3M tints installed by wrap innovations electronic rear blind This is car is technically a pre-facelift being a march 2000 build however it is retrofitted with Celis rear tails and Xenon headlights. $4000 transmission rebuild 1 year ago. TIMING CHAIN & GUIDES REPLACED along with alot of other parts (waterpump, valleypan, upper and lower oil pan gaskets, vanos seals etc) rear main seal was done by previous owner at 180ish km's After market amp and sub installed This car comes with a massive folder of service history. These can come with the car for an extra $120 (excl the thule bike rack) Car will come on government standard plates, NOT the euro plate.     Hey wonderful Bimmer-people. I’m in search for a hoist (vehicle lift) for use or hire for a half-day to get under the E36 for some much needed maintenance (eng, gearbox, diff oils; coolant flush etc). Any contacts or workshops around Auckland that cater for this? Thanks.

    Current state 15K would be reasonable I think. Have it sorted and on the road, could be looking at the 20+K mark. We'll speced and original.

    Intercooler and plumbing out, have to modify pipe to attach boost gauge, and it needs a bloody good cleaning, quite a bit of oil in the bottom of the intercooler, quite a lot of crud on the outside of everything. Pollen filter housings back in with new filters, discovered the center rear seat belt doesn't retract properly so will have to dismantle the seat and have a look at that, plugged in a few bits in the engine bay that had been unplugged, a few steps closer to being a decent car again.

    Yeah saw that today and just happen to require some. Picking up a 20L box of oil & ATF tomorrow with the ignition discount.

    Seems I have fallen into a hole and the market for these things has taken a dive. Had a bunch of work done to get it up to a good standard, and now its a great little car. Looking for 7k but open to negotiation.

    whats your budget? someone else is looking too That purple one listed by HellBM is my old clubsport. awesome car and been resurrected by HellBM with manual conversion so all good to go.

    K's don't mean much at this point in time as does regularly serviced (in NZ it usually boils down to oil changes done now and again). Most of these cars have tired suspension, old plastics and rubber etc regardless of mileage. IMO the example that has the tidy condition paint\panel, good interior and drives ok is the one that worth spending a couple of grand to sort mechanically. The only ones that are actually close to needing none or very little work are the ones owned true enthusiasts who are happy to invest lots of time and money (opposite of most car owners)
