Had another dig at it this morning, checked the relay, that was all fine but had a new one here so swapped it to be sure. had a bit of a play around, manually wound the eccentric shaft to half way through its movement and then tried to run the self calibration, and surprisingly...... it moved..... but only in one direction only and would not do the full sweep! decided that it was time to have a look at the sensor, so pulled it off, pulled the back out of it and what would you know, it’s full of oil like their usual failures are! have just ordered a new sensor, valvetronic motor, gaskets and seals to chuck put it all back together and hopefully the issue will be solved!

Greetings all, Amz here I own a E46 330 2002 ive had this one for 15 years.Shes a Stock sports BMW apart from the rims. This one is no garage queen and is a pleasure to drive this is why I have kept it so long as you never get sick of driving a Bimmer. Haven’t had much go wrong with this one and it still has all the original German spark plugs in it. Looking forward to reading other like minded people’s vlogs about there rides. Thanks for the sign up cheers Amz.

Finally, looking sharp again. Did you get replacement trim or paint/cover the existing ones?

All sorted again (for now) - got a couple little things to do when its serviced in a few months but nothing else significant flagged. Did a chrome delete on the grill frame and window surrounds yesterday which looks much better with the dark wheels IMO so at least its looking good - will look great once I get a full paint correction done.

God, Chucked her in the light, letting the shadows show what the guide coats are even struggling to show and she needed a few more runs, nightmare! Why the hell was this panel so warped haha She's good now, moar block sands, and some 3am finishes so i could use some lighting to cast shadows on the area as i was having to move the car around the drive way to use the sun to cast the shadow haha

I'll second that... wings are stupid on any road car, particularly so on a car that should look 'dignified', not boy racer. Also, I buy my cars for driving, not 'turning heads'. Silly me, I paid the cost of the 'upgrades' for a whole M3!

Old post but I've just been able to confirm mine is XHP Stage 3... I don't have any software or tools for this flash so I need to research whether I need to get that.

Quite annoying how little oil seals cause major problems. Sounds like you've got the problem nailed down though, and the right person to be doing the job.

I thought this was the same Henna / Houndstooth for sale early 2020, but it's not. You're right, this one hasn't been for sale before, it's been stored for a while courtesy of the New Zealand Government...

Has anyone come across what the governments plan for recycling Electric vehicles will be? Or are we just going to make that out of sight out of mind? Ship it to some 3rd world country.

I would like to see how they came to this figure. I have questions. E.g. does it take into consideration our extremely inefficient roading and poor town/city to town/city public transport? But I would guess it comes down to our ancient fleet and love of modern yet inefficient Utes. Shame buying a new efficient non boring/ugly car is out of reach for most NZer's due to our terrible finance and lease programs.
