Same way they prove a driveshaft has been modified professionally. Show a recent receipt for the part/work. I guess that receipt should also not come from pick a part.

That's well priced for very low kms, but budget pending, would try stretching to an Msport, or better yet, an M235i. This gen is pretty good by BMW standards, if you're going via a dealer though, just throw a warranty on top and enjoy stress free motoring.

Finally got round to working on the car, replaced both boost solenoids which fixed my 30FE overboost code, pretty straightforward job just have to be careful not to drop the nuts, also wouldn't recommend doing this after driving the car, I burnt my hands about 5 times as they sit right above the exhaust manifold. Took the car for a spirited drive on some coatsville backroads and car had zero issues, no error codes no overheating, sat at 110deg the whole time. Also finally ordered a set of backline taillights, price worked out cheapest through continental cars bmw, should be here tomorrow, should help make the rear end look a little bit more modern. Also changed up the suspension set up again, more on that later...

Purchased a small pot of POR15 last month from Trade Me - was expensive ($20 or so for 4oz I think) but only needed a little so didn't mind - certainly dries rock hard!

Two of my dealer mates have said this is the slowest period in car sales they have had in 5 years. They are back to having to actually sell vehicles rather than take orders. Including EVs.

Was suppose to photograph the E30 for sale photos today 😓, but by the time i gave it a vac the sun had come out. Ended up washing the E46 as it's been pretty neglected lately, was quite satisfying to clean some of the gunked up drain areas in the engine bay, although note to self...do it BEFORE i clean the rest of the car next time. The steering wheel has worn in nicely now, it's not as slippery as it was at first and looks a bit more natural. Had a few mins before child pick up and the sun had ducked behind the clouds so snapped a few pics.
