Glad you're okay, hope the car is too. A silver sedan door shouldn't be too hard to find. There's one at the Christchurch Pick-A-Part that I know of.

    Baby M3? Someone’s getting their E30 318iS confused with an E36 318iS.

Hey Team So got a bit done over the weekend. Finished welding the headers with O2 bungs, Full exhaust finished and tacked ( ran out of gas so couldn't finish it) Spray painted the headers and oven baked and made a start on the subframe plates. Thanks

On my Mas I prefer the tyres to have a nice bright black shine. On the BMW I'm happy with a dark matte black finish.

I must have got lucky with my 07 335i. I certainly wouldn’t call it any more unreliable than the other BMW’s I’ve owned. In fact it only ever had the bonnet up for regular oil changes and servicing in my 50k of driving and another 15k when I on-sold to a family member. I still get to drive it from time to time and still can’t understand why I sold it. The other car I had the N52 motor in was however an oil leaking mess of a thing, plus coolant leaks, vanos solenoid failures, starter motor, water pump, transmission pan gasket and it had half the mileage.

Contact the REINZ or council, from memory, a sold sticker is only allowed to stay up for 1 week.

I don't know how much better the 4000 is, but I've got 3x 3000 kits (130W vs 175W) somewhere, all with poked motors. They seem to eat brushes and die. The extra grunt might help with that. And that stupid place for the spindle lock button 🙄 Bunnings appears to be $198 today... so 15% lower discount on that if you get the Mitre 10 price gaurantee? 😋 Unless they've already lowered to match (as they do, to avoid the 15% discount!)

FOR SALE signs in front of houses. House gets sold, some f**ker drives all the way out to slap a big red SOLD sign on it and leaves the bloody thing sitting there for another 3 months. Yes well done, you've sold a house. It served its purpose. Take your shitty sign and f**k straight off. Tempted to start setting them on fire.

Hi, the rc090 but would consider the same style especially if there was a chance of finding another the same 038 035 etc

I've been through 3 OBD connectors - my good old USB cable which I've used on multiple (99-2004) VAG cars but seems to struggle on some controllers/protocols with newer cars. I recently bought a super cheap ($15) Bluetooth one off of Trademe which was mostly garbage despite it seeming to pass a bunch of compatibility tests. And the last one I got was the Vgate iCar v2 Wireless (I wanted Bluetooth but got confused ordering the "blue" coloured one by accident...) and this set me back about $65 including shipping off of Amazon. I've used it on a couple of cars (06 VW Passat and 06 BMW 335i) so far and seems pretty good. Using it with the "Car Scanner" app for Android which seems to be the best one I've found so far.

Light work that needs precision and control they are much better than a die grinder.

With an older BMW gave a chat with Greg Hantz. Cheaper than CJ, and highly regarded by them. Exhaust mods - talk to Sinco.

Gave the paint a going over with the Meguiar's DA microfiber system. Stopped using foam pads after i tried this as i found it delivers good results for minimal time and outlay. No swirls or holograms so maybe someone has cleaned well over the years or corrected it in the past? @hqstu ?. Got most of the light scratching out leaving some the time consuming deeper ones alone. With thinner clear and stone chips present in certain areas i dont think its worth the risk given the light blue hides defects very good. Ride height has increased a little with the new parts but im a fan of factory lowered height. Yet it scrap it in all the typical situations after a few 100 k's so should limit any bumper damage.

😑 Not a happy day up on Coronet yesterday. Some f**kwit in a Nissan backed into me and their tow bar has done that to the 330. To make it more fun I was actually crushed in the door itself since I was grabbing something from the front but am luckily unhurt. Wasnt super f**kin happy about the situation though. The door frame at the top kind of bent around my chest so now it doesn't seal properly but I have managed to bend it somewhat back into shape to try stop it from leaking in the meantime. Now it's wait and see with the insurance, the damage is all on the one door so could be worse, hopefully it doesn't get written off. I am fairly confident that me being alive is evidence that the car is still structurally fine since they were driving pretty slow and the door mostly just bent around the towbar (and around me). It wasn't even a tight car park I have no idea how they f**ked up this bad could of actually killed me christ. It was my good door as well all the others have wellington dents...
