Hey guys reluctantly selling what has been an amazing car to own, my NZ NEW 4.6is in Estoril Blue. 1 of 29 delivered new to NZ in the 2003 year, unsure of how many of those were Estoril Blue. Have owned it for about a year now having used it mostly for big road trips & then 2-3 days a week to the park n ride. Have driven up 90 mile beach to cape rienga & multiple trips to the bach. Currently sits at 197,000km’s with most major work having been done in the last 20,000km’s. Will come with complete service history dating back to 2012 along with original handbooks/manuals, 2 keys & sale agreement. Work done mechanically includes window regulators, cooling system replaced, rocker cover gaskets, spark plugs, ignition coils, handbrake lever, cv boots, tie rods, timing chains, gear position switch, starter motor, battery, rotors & pads, boot-lid mechanism, fuel pipe set, abs control unit, PDC sensors & most recently the alternator. Interior is black nappa leather over Titan shadow trim. Heated seats, cruise control, blah blah I’m sure most of you will decode the vin yourselves. My partner & I have recently got engaged & are planning on moving across the pond hence the sale. Not in any rush right now as would like to see this go to a caring new owner. Still a great car to this day, only thing letting it down is the paint (Bonnet could do with a respray & the front bumper is scratched/slightly dented from previous owner). Would be worth the investment on getting it back to its former glory. Feel free to contact me anytime however I may take a little while to respond depending on time of day. My number is 021 265 5240 or you can check out the Instagram @estblau. I’m sure you know values for these everywhere else have risen, however unfortunately I don’t have the time to wait for the NZ market to catch up. Price is $8,500 for bimmersport, will post on trademe soon.

Anyone who was ever young would have learned that more noise equals more power and performance. Has something changed ?? Cheers...

Love it - and great pics too. Very tempting... would need to move on my deeply overinvested 4.4i with Style 168s 😕

Anyone who was once young figured out that more noise increases the likelihood that you where going to score - figuratively so to speak 😂 Anyone who has since matured - relatively speaking - has realised that more noise also equals more attention haha 🤣

Sweet I have race car at the moment then as no exhaust at all 😆 I get to about 2500rpm and have to button off as it sounds like the world is ending !

Yea made a bit of a day of it, was a great excuse to catch up with people !! Have since driven it up the road and back, I think 1.5km in all now 😄 The idle is trying its best and does manage to settle around 1000rpm but its not quick at getting there and there is a small oil leak where the pump attaches to the filter block. So all in all pretty good ... really needs the exhaust pronto as its ultra obnoxious as it is and prevents much driving. Still progressing on other items and just today got the tacho working !! Switched from pulling the value from the Nissan CAN data and instead plumbed in the dedicated engine speed signal wire from the ECU (otherwise unused) to the Arduino. Bit of jiggery pokery in the code and it seems to be working like a champ now ... very pleased. Just need the temp reading now from Nissan land and I'm good to go. Will likely double down and get the Arduino to control the cooling fan relay also ... easy after what has gone before it. In other pictorial news the concrete mods are under way so I can get in and out of the garage ... got the skip and concrete breaker hire lined up for the weekend.

Regarding bikes, I can handle just about any straight piped bike other than a Harley. There is something about them that is just brutally obnoxious, and the whole idea that a Harley is somehow an all out performance bike and all other brands are so called "crotch rockets" speaks volumes about the interesting owners. Possibly the idea that bike exhausts with a factory db stamp on them seem to get through all manner of inspection, yet the moment you touch a car exhaust the cops are on you as a boy racer.

My bikes are loud. Better than some idiot in a car knocking you off because they can't be f**ked opening their eyes and "didnt see you". Or too busy doing their makeup, scoffing down a hunger buster combo, or f**king around on their phone. But I dont ride a straight piped v rod either, and I dont ride around residential places in first gear bouncing off the revlimiter.

as someone who works in price integrity at a Bunnings branch, head office are usually on the ball when it comes to this stuff! quite often the price changes are pushed through before we get our new labels/tpr's out on the shelves!

Hey Josh They are an epic car and I love mine, but while the car is 'cheap', you need to have healthy budget for running costs, and they're not a sensible daily driver. If you buy one that hasn't had the road bearings done, then you need $5-7K available to cover that. Good idea to get a specialist PPI if you can, but any PPI is better than no PPI 👍 HBQ695 was off the road with 'engine failure' - rod bearing/crank failure likely with rebuild 😕 So be cautious. was a $1 NR auction back in 2019... The other two look decent, depending on whether you want OEM or aftermarket aesthetic.
